I'll bet you find it funny for the same reasons I do. a) cos it shows how nuts some people are and b) cos it isn't in our country, thank f00k! :D

It is seriously fucked-up, though, when people would rather have a bangy-killy thing than $250 worth of free petrol.

Oh yeah. I remember now. Guns don't kill. It's people that kill.

(People with guns.)

What's funny to me is that they said sales have quadrupled since they started doing it. Don't the people taking advantage of this offer realize that they can go buy a gun Ã* la carte for a lot less money?

"Ah knows we don't need no new car, but ah needs a new gun, Burtha. Ah'm headin' down there right now."

And the scary thing to me is that these people are clearly not the most intelligent folks out there. When I see comments like "He said all those people in the Midwest, you've got to have compassion for them because they're clinging to their guns and their Bibles. I found that quite offensive. We all go to church on Sunday and we all carry guns", it's pretty clear to me that there's not much in the way of critical thinking going on.

I'm fine with responsible, informed gun ownership, but these people aren't inspiring a lot of confidence in me.

And by the way....best quote:

"Mr Muller said that every buyer so far 'except one guy from Canada and one old guy' chose the gun, rather than the gas card." :D

Why do i find this funny?

because it's hilarious.

this may not mean anything to you but, you know, it's missouri. as soon as i saw the headline i knew it would be somewhere in the south, somewhere between georgia and texas. stereotypes exist because sometimes they're painfully true.

p.s. anyone who considers missouri part of the midwest and not the south has either never been to missouri or is living in complete denial.
