I have looked at Underworld's "world" tour.
It seems that they are not coming to Australia
Are there more dates to be announced?
Will Australia get a gig?
I know sometimes Australian tours dont get announced till well into the world tour, namely like Daft Punk did last year.
Does anyone have any info or speculation because there are plenty of aussies that would love to see them.
Cheers, Joffa

It would be nice if they popped back to New Zealand as well!

TBH, no one really knows. I'm sure they'd like to. They haven't been there since 2003, I think? So that would make it the most major part of the world that they haven't been to in quite a while.
If I had to engage in wildly unfounded speculation, I'd say that they'd probably like to find a way to make it down there this year. There are most likely more tour dates to come this year. With a few exceptions, http://www.underworldlive.com/events seems to have the most up-to-date tour dates announced first, so keep an eye out there. In fact, there seems to be a new Ireland date that no one has mentioned yet.

was kinda hoping they would have been announced in the Splendor In The Grass first round of acts that was made public today. That would have been splendid in the grass, but it is not (yet) to be...

Yeah I've been asking the same question about Underworld coming to Oz a couple of times this year. The only thing that might happen now i reckon is possibly Big Day Out at the beginning of next year maybe.
Would love to be proved wrong though...;)
Also would like to see if Underworld are playing anywhere in the first 2 weeks of September in Europe or the UK as I'm back there for 10 days for my sister's wedding. Would be amazing if i could slip in an Underworld gig too. Any info on September shows anywhere?

all the info is at www.underworldlive.com/events (http://www.underworldlive.com/events)
they're doing a lot of festivals this summer but there don't seem to be any other gigs announced so my guess is they're gonna take a break from touring for a bit after the summer and work on a new album :)

So, it looks like Underworld will be headlining the full complement of Summadayze dates:
Jan. 1 - Summadayze Melbourne (http://www.summadayze.com/melb/sd_09_melb_v01.htm)
Jan. 3 - Summafieldayze Gold Coast (http://www.summadayze.com/QLD/sd_09_qld_v01.htm)
Jan. 4 - Summadayze Perth (http://www.summadayze.com/perth/sd_09_perth_v01.htm)
Jan. 10 - Summadayze Auckland (http://www.summadayze.com/NZ/sd_09_nz_v01.htm)
Tickets for Melbourne and Perth go on sale this Monday, Aug. 18!
Here's the full announcement.

It looks like I might actually be able to hit up Summafieldayze on the Gold Coast. I'll be in Oz then for my honeymoon, and the Gold Coast is only about 10 miles from my aunt's place where we'll be staying. Now I just have to convince the future wife to let me go.

God damnit.. they seem to be in Japan every 6 months, finally come to Australia, and where will I be that month?
Yeah well.. at least I'll be .. um.. freezing my arse off.
To the boys, any chance of a Sydney show after Jan 6th so that I can catch it? If you could just rearrange your tour to suit me better that would be grand.

I'm glad they're coming to Perth! Thought I'd have to make the trip over east to see them. If only they'd do a sideshow...
Woot . 1 ticket for myer music bowl bought ! .... Tickets went on sale today for melb.. and none of my Melbourne friends were interested.. Going to have to hook up with some dirts I think.
Now for Sydney dates .... fingers crossed for after the other gigs when I,m back near sydney

Looks like Underworld's been removed from the Auckland show (http://www.summadayze.com/NZ/sd_09_nz_v01.htm). Sorry NZ!
On the other hand, the AU shows have been officially confirmed.

Underworld is going to give the Australian Underworld fans what they need on three of the four Summadayze day-festivals, january 2009.
As I am in need of some Underworld all the time, and planning a trip to Australia at the moment, around january 2009, I would like to ask our Australian friends (might as well start networking now ;)), and anyone else:
Has anyone ever been to one of those Summadayze festivals? Are they worth the price? I don't really care for the rest of the line-up (amongst which are some Dutch dj's which I, as a dutchman, consider a bit too much on the mainstream side).
And what about the venues? One will be held in Melbourne, Sydney Myer Music Ball (1th january, almost sold out); one in Gold Coast, Doug Jennings Park (3rd january); and one in Perth, The Esplanade & Supreme Court Gardens (4th january). Any info and tips about these are much appreciated!
I posted the above ion this forum here: (http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forums/showthread.php?t=9327) and here: (http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forums/showthread.php?p=103377&posted=1#post103377). But this thread seems the most appropiate.

Check through the inthemix forums for more specifics on each venue , I'll be hitting melbourne for the gig there.

I loathe Summadayze with a passion, so unless UW do a side show I guess I'm going to miss out on seeing them, which sucks :(

Summadayze only thing in Melbourne.. only option in Sydney was the already-sold-out shorething at $135!
I won't be in the country anyway so I guess it's kinda academic :)

do you thik they will play underneath thr radar becasue it was a top ten hit here and i think i wont go unless they say they will play it or maybe not i will.
last time they were in sydney they got a pineapple chucked at them and it was pretty sad but i can understand it because they didnt play underneath the radar and the peoeple demand underneath the radar.
UNDEREATH THE RADAR.
