Hm, could it be a shot from the Oblivion Ball? Off the top of my head, they used the Wheel of Light during Pearl's Girl - with spectacular effects as a result.

Oh man, I WISH I had the photography skills to capture a photo like that. Unfortunately, it's just a still grab from the Pearl's Girl video that I shot. Still, I was very pleased with the quality of the video camera (bought it specifically for that trip), and I will take credit for shooting that video at the right moment. ;)

Damn right you should. That is some hot shit.
That is one of the best "Crowd" shot concert videos I've ever seen.

It's definitely the best video I've seen. The boys are just so musically charged in it, yelling, hugging eachother... that's the kind of stuff I always hope happens at a concert I go to, but alas, Atlanta had so many technical problems, they were probably going "Well, thank god that's over!" after the show.
I think it would be hard to get that here in America, that perfect concert that would spark that kind of reaction - The fanbase here is small, our audiences aren't nearly as accommodating as the Japanese, and our clubs seem to have technical problems for no reason!
I don't know, I just wanted Underworld to enjoy the concert as much as I did, but I don't think that's possible.

I know exactly what you mean as I just had this discussion about NYC fans and overseas fans. But Atlanta, oh Atlanta... I've never seen so many people that enamored with Underworld and the vibe in the room and on stage (tech problems or not) was awesome.
And more on technical problems, I don't think I've ever heard or seen an Underworld show that didn't have technical problems. Just about every show I've seen live has had one issue or another and that's okay. They roll with it, fix it and move on. Such is the nature of a live show with so many variables.
A few examples:
Central Park: Luetin beats/timing were way off
NYC 02: Cowgirl had problems getting going. Kept restarting 'everything'
NYC: Jumbo crashed. Restart
NYC: Moaner went apeshit and seemingly melted the board
NJ: Tons of board glitches due to the 8 hour downpour
Atlanta: Vocals doing their own thing

One of my all time fave UW "gremlin moments" was at the Roundhouse in October when they couldn't get the "everything everything" sample started at the beginning of Cowgirl. After a few moments, Rick just turned to the audience with a wide-eyed blank expression that was absolutely classic. :D

Karl had a "such is life" comment or expression (I honestly can't remember anymore) when Jumbo crashed and had to be restarted. It was really funny.
