and after that shocking performance on monday night, chelski and the arse have conspired to hand you the title on a plate!:D ....not that that worries me at all. now looking forward to next week where i hope we can further dent chelski's euro ambitions like we did to the arse. Will Utd remain the semi-final kings or will they end their recent euro under-achievments and make the final?.....judging by what i've seen of barca recently there's a fair chance Utd will go all the way especially the way they are playing right now.........

alls I can cling to is that Fulham has had some success over the years playing Liverpool at the Cottage. Let me dream for a few more days!

united dominated the first half except for the lucky goal that chelsea got at the end of the first half. good shot, but it took two deflections before landing at the feet of the chelsea player miraculously.

even in the 2nd half... more pressure from utd but more shots from chelsea + two hitting the bar/post. my evening was made sweeter when drogba got sent off. cant stand him. nice to see ronaldo weeping there like a baby at the end too :)

LOL!!!!! good photo!Nice to know that abramavich's millions can only buy the league cup this year........hahahahahahahahahahaha!.First half belonged to united who should really have had the game done and dusted by half-time. could and should have been at least 2 and maybe 3 up by half time. Chelski much better in the second half.what was dive-ba thinking of when he slapped Vidic??? what an arse! I assume he was one of chelski's penalty takers .......i hope it was Terry or Anelka who replaced him on the penalty takers roster:D

I believe Terry replace Drogba at the #5 slot.

hitting the woodwork 3 times in the second half and the shootout = ouch.

I don't think Drogba should have been sent off for that...

I don't believe that game was officiated well, though, anyways.

Drogba slapped a player in the face. How often do you see that not red-carded?

Terry saved a shot off the line, but something tells me that didn't help him sleep any better last night. Shame really.

Can someone please explain the rule about stopping on a penalty shot? I always thought that once you stopped forward momentum, it was an illegal try. I see Ronaldo do it enough, but man it pisses me off. Like the shooter needs anymore advantage on a pk.

never........in europe, if you raise your hand and make any sort of contact you're off mate. the dickhead deserved it and i believe that if he was still on then chelski would have won the shoot out. So, blame him rather than the referee who, speaking as a neutral, had a reasonable game with 2 physical sides.

The ESPN commentator said it should have been an illegal kick, too. I think its a very stupid way to take a PK, honestly. Just line up, pick a spot, and ram the ball in. His kick was very meek and had no power behind it, let alone he kicked it directly to where the goalie dove. I'm not a footballer and I may be wrong for saying this but soft kicks give the advantage to the goalie. A good, strong kick into the side netting would be the ideal spot, I'd think.

I don't think any woman I've ever met would consider that a slap :p I know it is at least a yellow, but I'm not sure I would give that a red card. Not that it matters, because that is debatable, unlike... John Terry slipping. Who started that fight, anyways? I was urinating

I really am not sure how taboo complaining about officiating is in Europe, but in America, we like to complain about calls. With that said, I do believe:

-At least twice a Manchester United player attempted to drag down a Chelsea player and it was uncalled. Once, in fact, the Manchester United player was complaining that he was fouled
-Manchester United were awarded a corner kick after a Chelsea player had been fouled hard in his own penalty box
-At least three indisputable ball-outs were given to Manchester United after they had last been touched by Manchester United. One of these fuck-ups took away a Chelsea corner kick
-A Manchester United player was toying with a Chelsea player after the Chelsea player had fallen to the ground (fucking with his head), and went uncalled. This is among other debatable no-call fouls that, even as a Chelsea fan, I did not think should have been called

Getting on to the intangibles of last night...
-Rooney was selfish
-Ronaldo complains to the ref about nearly everything
-One Manchester United PK-taker kicked the ball back into the net after it had already gone in once...classy

I was watching the game with a neutral hockey-playing friend, and he was even more offended by the Manchester United players and bad calls than I was. That being said, don't hold my comments against the Chelsea nation because I am just a foreign fan...

I'm not sure if I want Grant to be replaced because what everyone around here calls "boring football" I seem to enjoy.

Go ahead and tear my head off, but I don't care... I've got my American teams to support now, and I know at least one of them is going to win.

It all started over handing the ball back after an intentional kick out of play for injury. Instead of giving it back to Cech, it was booted back out of bounds. Some pushing some shoving and the always-red-carded face slap. Drogba knows better. Its my opinion that Chels had the advantage at that point but that the game was destine for PKs anyway. Why do something that stupid?

at the end of the day, united could and should have been 3 up at half time. The chelski goal was lucky.I have to laugh at the comment about ronaldo moaning to the ref - chelski are the best in europe at having a go at the ref, they don't do it individually either....check out Cashley Cole's arrogance to the ref on one of the FA websites from a few games back and whenever the whistle blows John 'the slip' Terry is always there having a moan........;)

chelsea slipped up along the way

ho hum, that cunt Kenyon's 5 year plan is looking weaker by the year....

who's next on the hit list, even a fat toad of a manager with no charisma did better than the 'special one' and now who's gonna come in, superfuckingman?

good luck next season, when Lampard, Drogba and Carvalliho have left....

lol - chelsea won't be the 2nd best team next season - the decline has started here...

I'm just judging the Champions League Final.
According to all my Liverpool friends, though, Ronaldo is a moany, cardhunting little slut!

I believe what you are saying, correct me if I am wrong, is that Chelsea complain about calls that have been made, whereas in my viewing experience Ronaldo complains about calls that have not been called against opponents involving fouling him, which is of a slightly different nature. I think every team complains to the ref, but not every player on every team complains to the ref about not getting star ('you can't fuck with this person') treatment. If Chelsea complain a lot of calls that have been made, as opposed to no-calls, then that is the fact of the matter but I've always felt it more insidious to complain about no-calls and I don't remember seeing Chelsea do that more than any other team.

I'm not angry or trying to be vindictive, but if we are going to have this discussion then we shall discuss fully

Does anyone call Manchester United "Rochester United"? If not, I shall. :)

you should study drogba and joe cole closely - always acting and then complaining - so yes; if lots of calls don't get given; but largely because those 2 ponces keep on crying wolf so much...

(my query - what the hell is the "Chelsea nation"?!?!)
