you know, its funny after seeing all the complaints,
(especially from me)..about the lack of improvs,
the lack of variety, and the lack of well whatever
underworld used to have in their live shows..

so its great to see they're finally going back
to some of their older songs, and mixing up
the setlist quite a bit....kudos to them..

and yet, besides in the moments thread,
which i'm sure not too many people read,
there's not a whole lot about it..

go figure..

anyways, i still have a sinking feeling that
if they come back to the US, for that 1 day
show, or whatever, we'll be back to the
standards! prove me wrong!

I don't know man, I think there's been plenty of positive talk about it in the moment forum. There's even a thread (http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forums/showthread.php?t=7339) on it (which you already posted in), and a lot of people commenting positively on the setlists in the respective show threads.

Of course most people on the forum have not yet heard any of these shows in the first place.
But hey, it can't be said enough I guess, so again kudos to underworld for making the liveshow interesting again! :)

i dedicated an entire thread to this exact topic in the 'Moments' thread, that you sorta-disagreed with. ;)

And in each of the specific threads about a given show, there is praise beyond praise. So I'm not quite sure where you are going with this? You think that we should be more vocal in the UW forum rather than the Moment's forum?

I think he's just saying that there's not a lot of "general" talk about the shows, whereas when peopl were UNHAPPY with the setlists, they were all over it in every part of the forum.

That being said - I think lots of people READ Moments (myself included) - there are just fewer posters (myself included) since I have nothing to add to the subject of shows I haven't seen...

Yer, moments is more for the people going to gigs and talking back about them and others to post a questions. I myself read a lot about them and asked a few questions on how Darc sounded.

I'll probably post more in there as London 2 gets closer :D

I could be churlish and say something about people only being vociferous when they have something to moan about...

But I won't. ;) :p

I am totally entranced by the recent setlists and will no doubt have loads to say at the end of the month. But then, I was happy with what they were giving us earlier in the tour too, and really enjoyed the last two gigs at the Roundhouse, so I guess I am pretty easy to please.

yep - I have to agree, all the gigs this year (2008) seem to have
a whole new energy about them.

The setlists look amazing - well done everyone at camp Underworld.
You've raised the bar once again guys.

Well done
W.

Yeah, I was actually going to post my thread in the UW section, but then i realised, thats what the Moments forum is for.

I was one of the critical people about the static setlists (critical isn't really the right word, more like curious) and I felt that I ought to praise where it was much deserved.

But the setlists people were most unhappy about were the ones actually broadcast (London and Tokyo). More access + less variation = more complaining.
