this isn't like... some kind of really bad viral marketing for batman is it?

Another terrible loss and if it was drug-related, didn't need to happen. Just another reminder of why you need to act fast and responsibly if someone you know has a problem, if it indeed turns out to be drug-related.

ok so
just to be sure. theyre finished filming batman? like
its all done. they didnt actually need him anymore?

cause thats like...important, and stuff.

call mea heartless, but i just care about batman.

it was, after all, completely preventable on his part. (if the reports of it being drug related are true)

I'm almost certain that filming is done, and that it's in post-production.

Sad for his baby.

Preventable yes, but still sad and just a shame that he couldn't get treatment in time.

Oh wait I forgot, feeling pity for people that die because of drugs is wrong.

per a buddy of mine:

He'd wrapped on DARK KNIGHT. He was shooting THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSIS, the new Terry Gilliam film in London. (Man, again, not to be too insensitive, but Gilliam can't catch a break, can he? Just see the documentary LOST IN LA MANCHA to understand what I mean. It's about Terry trying to film a Don Quixote film which had the worst production problems ever and the film was shut down.)

I had almost the exact same thought and wrote the following to a co-worker in another dept. upon learning of Ledger's death.

This is a strange day indeed and sad.

A casualty of this and it's terrible to think of this in these terms is Terry Gilliam. Ledger is one of the leads in his new film currently shooting and Ledger's passing is yet another in the continuing debacle of Gilliam attempting to make films and then being inundated with sometimes insurmountable situations. This seems like a continuation of what we witnessed in Lost in La Mancha.

i just dont feel bummed out when people who had little or no impact on my life pass away. were you sad when my great aunt flow kicked the bucket? nope. now that i told you, are you sad? nope. same thing.

not gonna hijack the thread, just wanted to know if batman was done. he might play a really cool joker...and if he does, ill be bummed hes not around to reprise the role.

...am I the only one who found it odd that he was found in one of the Olson twins' place? I mean... isn't he like 35, and aren't they like... 20?

but anyways - yea it sucks

but almost - even more so for the people he fucked over... both in his personal & professional worlds (like his kid and Terry Gilliam, who - as it's already been said, can't catch a break)

That was a crazy rumor re: Olsen apartment. They were even saying that they think it might have been Mary-Kate Olsen who died and not Heath Ledger. Seriously.

But I guess it wasn't there place, it was an erroneous report.

On the radio this morning family were referring to it as a "tragic accident". Either way, it's a bummer. RIP.
