Here's a thread to say thanks to Underworld and the Tomato crew for all they've done for the fans this year. It was one of the best years ever to be an Underworld fan. So many highlights, so many great memories.

Awesome year indeed with a stella new album showing that you have so many musical palets to draw from. Had my first ever UW show as well which rocked and was well better then the festival sets ive witnessed in the past.
Keep the good vibes coming please!

I'd like to add that 2007 has been the best year to get new fans into Underworld since '99. I've lost count of how many friends I've converted this year, and I couldn't have done so without all the great material available, especially all the live stuff like webcasts and this new jam, because it's a way for those of us (especially in the USA) who can't be there to experience the music together even though we're all at work or school or home. My friends and actually had a few weeks during which we'd listen to a "new" UW show every Monday and discuss it over IM -- PLEASE RELEASE THE REST OF MOSCOW!
Really, all the official live material available for free and for purchase is a dream come true for a fan of this band, and I'm so glad it's happened after all this time.
Hopes for 2008:
- New music, of course
- More jams, webcasts, etc
- NIN-style remix/interactivity apparatus
- More Pearls Girl-style EPs and other such physical releases collecting b-sides and remixes, as those things were KEY to getting me and many others into UW in the '90s. The convenience of such products cannot be understated, even in 2008.
- A one-off, stripped down "chill" or "semi-acoustic" record/performance a la NIN's Still, perhaps also made available as part of a ltd edition or download purchase.
- Underworld remixing and/or collaborating with other artists of their caliber. Film scores are great but you know what I mean.
- CD-quality archive of "lost" tracks such as "Eclipse" and "Minneapolis," etc., just for posterity's sake.
Yep - thanks to the chaps for all their hard work over the year and all the goodies coming our way. Especially yesterday's Christmas show, which was outstanding.
How many other bands give us all this excellent stuff for nothing?
Long may they reign.

:) A really fine sentiment brotherlovesdub, and one that, im sure, we all on this forum share. The breathtaking collaboration with Danny Boyle and John Murphey on "Sunshine", the much promised new album OWB + singles, the live studio broadcasts, the live gig broadcasts, the repeats via u/wlive.com, the collabartion with LiveHereNow - (wot more can you ask when you go to a gig???), the re-scheduled dates, ...
And wot can I say about the sheer overwhelming expression of love and support for this band when they hit not one, but two really bad times.
Rick, Karl, Darren, and all the othe u/w crew - many many xmas best wishes - you are the best:)

Agree with the sentiments expressed above. A wonderful year indeed to be a fan of underworld. New album, radio sets, live shows galore, releases, and underworld socks too.
I love the new direction and can't wait to see what is to come. Much love and many thanks to rick, karl, darren, danielle for the underworld socks(!!!), team underworldlive, tomato, aNt, Scott, yan, and everyone else at darktrain/dirty and those I may be forgetting.

It's been a great year to be a fan of the most talented group in recent memory. Cheers to Underworld + Crew for everything--the live broadcasts, tour, and of course, Oblivion with Bells.
p.s. Rick -
If anarchist loonies and pneumonia can't stop you, I don't anything will! Keep the grooves coming!
p.p.s. Karl -
"He finds beauty in strange places," she said-
"And his words haunt my mind."
p.p.p.s. Darren-
I didn't really mean it when I was making fun of you all those times. :D

Yep - what a year for Underworld.
Once again the work rate has been through the roof, peeking towards the
end of the year - with the new album, the live shows, Tokyo broadcast, RA podcast and
the misterons mix (plus all the movie work).
For me, October was Underworld month - new album, got to three live shows
& met Darren at Roundhouse :) celebrated birthday in Manchester at the gig - holy moly :)
Just listening to the misterons mix again - fabulous
Big thanks to team Underworld.

It's been a great underworld-year. Especially flying halfway around the world to see them play in New York was an amazing experience, but the gigs at Knebworth and in London were great as well.
OWB was slightly dissapointing after 5 years of waiting but still brought some great new sounds to enjoy.
Keep doing the webcasts boys, they are always a joy to listen to, both the radioshow-type and the livegig-type.

oh and the start of 2008 looks like it's gonna be continuing the joy with the continuation of the european tour!
Gonna be seeing them in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and possible hop over to London again for the 2 Roundhouse gigs (I can hear my credit card screaming already).
Hopefully underworld can find it in their hearts to play some of those old tunes from the webcast on those gigs :)

Thanks, Underworld (and the entire crew)!
It was a great year and we all appreciate everything you've done for us. :)
Underworld in SF at the Warfield 9/7/07 and 9/8/07, magnificent!
(Brought eleven people with me to the first SF show and three to the second, 90% had never seen 'em live before!)
Oh, and thanks for the other stuff too -- albums, webcasts, underworldlive.com ...
