The Guardian are running a music poll for music released this year.

I imagine you can guess from the forum I have chosen for this thread what I will be voting for, and I would like to encourage you to do the same. Not because I am a fangirl, but because UW don't have the huge JBO/Virgin publicity machine behind them any more and need all the help they can get from their friends, imo.

There's always one. And it's always you :p
I am proposing, not imposing. People can vote for who the hell they want.
This isn't meant to be another "yeah but i don't like OWB as much as x" thread - there are plenty of those. I am merely making a suggestion that if people feel they want to give the album a bit more publicity - and frankly there hasn't been much in the way of promotion in the UK record stores, that's for sure - they can.
If you really feel you want to vote for Daniel O'Donnell instead, or not vote at all, that is entirely up to you. :)

oh come on, i'm not that guy just yet... i just happen to be up at 3am. i did my fanboy thing today, listened and felt whole again after some lemonworld jams, planned a video to the NUXX intro at ILoveTechno98
just seems like voting an album there because you want word out more than anything seems a bit like acting the ship is sinking when it isnt.

I'm a bit grumpy when I get up and haven't had the requisite number of cups of tea. Soz. :o

You can bet your bottom dollar that there will be a lot of music PRs doing the same for their artists. Just call it levelling the playing field if you like.

... thankyou for bringing the word 'soz' back into my life. i had a northern friend (from wakefield) who used to use it in a very northern sarcastic way. fabulous! :D

wait... "Soz" is a pre-existing word?
ha... I probably got it from this MB at some point then...
I just remember a few months back I tried to start using it (in like quick messages) and some of my friends were pretty much like 'what the f_ck was "Soz" supposed to mean in that text'
