so... that Darren Price guy eh? Is he ever gonna release some of those new tunes we've been hearing on the uwlive show under his own name?
I was just checking Discogs.com and it looks like mr Price hasn't had any releases outside Underworld since Amerika in 2005. Yet all the tracks played in the underworld live show sound amazing. So are these sort of exclusive productions for Underworld? I would love to see some of this stuff released on it's own. Is he even signed to any label?

I have Under the Flightpath, and it's pleasant enough (some STITI feel in parts), but the new tracks are imho huge steps above that album. Haven't heard Amerika, but yes, i'd love to hear the latest UWLive interludes in LP form.

Amerika was co-produced by Pete Heller I think. They played it at the Cocoon show as well.
I don't really like Flightpath, or at least it sounds really dated now, but yeah this new stuff is much better. The fact that it can hold it's own between Underworld's stuff in the liveshow is testament to that (actually I find myself sometimes skipping to the Price tracks even :))

'Darren Price - Shake That Higher' was featured on the recent Underworld podcast, so it seems that at least some of his tracks exist outside of an Underworld gig.

just a 'heads up', but you can get Amerika over on beatport

and btw - it (surprisingly) mixes really well with Kittens

yes well some of the tracks also feature on Darren's myspace page and Can You Feel This Bass was once posted on uwlive.
Still, it would be cool if one could buy them on Beatport or something like that.

Amerika was released under the moniker the Cooler Kinds, on Pete Heller's Phela Label, in 2005, and is very good...

its a colaboration between Pete Heller and Darren Price

as much as i like darren price,

he has a LONG way to go before he reaches the
point of releasing anything new..

i view all his new works, as just rough tracks,
that need some polishing before they come out..
which is probably why they're on his myspace
page..

so far they're good for interludes, or mixes in between,
but i don't see them standing on their own yet..
