So, there I was driving home from my girlfriend's house at 3am, Radio 4 has passed the shipping forecast and turned into the World Service... so I flick over to Radio 1 and what do I hear? Britney? Oasis? No... I hear, unbelievably, "You Do Scribble"!

It turns out that from 2am to 4am on Mondays, Rob Da Bank has a show of live recordings that included an 'exclusive recording' of Underworld at the Roundhouse... it seems to be a proper desk recording as you'd expect from the BBC, but with lots more crowd noise than the official live CD.

I only caught the end of the UW segment as I was driving, but there is a lor more on the 'listen again' page that you can hear here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/robdabank/
(click 'listen to part 2')

There's a 2-part interview, and probably enough of the gig for people to decide if they want the CD too...

...and after UW, if that's not enough, there's a couple of live Chemical Brothers tracks too and a band called 'Justice' who are also worth a listen.

nice one. Interesting comments by Karl; apparently the setlist was being determined by the crew for the Roundhouse gigs. He also says there was definitely some new track(s) gonna be played but sadly that didn't happen (except maybe the Price tracks but they weren't really new either). Maybe they were saving it for the 3rd night...

I think 'you do scribble' counts as new, and maybe he was expacting Bamboo. Interesting to hear him say Bamboo is being 'worked out live on stage', the same phrase was used with KoS.

It maybe worth mentioning that the live tracks come from Wednesday's (17.10) gig

How are rules here for sharing mixes broadcasted on radio stations? I have chopped out the Underworld live part from the Radio1 recording and merged the 2 parts with Soundforge so it is a nice continuos 54 minute mix now and maybe others would like the solo version as well but if I remember right this is not possible here. Correct me if I am wrong.

Oh. That one, I would say no, since it's available for purchase.

Hmm, yeah, a grey area when shows are both broadcast and available for sale in another form (for example, remember the Voorst show and the other sources for Everything,Everything? Weren't some of these tracks posted on UWLive (Eurokenes/belfort?).

If we are going to share the radio version of the gig, i have two more tracks excerpted from the "In the company of Underworld with Colin Murray" show: Rez/Cowgirl and NUXX. Can upload them if it's okay. If not, no worries...buy the gigs!
