I'm just glad they've done ANYTHING... between this and the live CDs, it allows those of us in Canada (where they played NO shows) to see a little of this tour... and possibly own a disc or two after the fact [smirk].
Though the video is a little grainy (understandably) - the audio has been ROCK solid on my end, making this PERFECT listening while I work at home tonight...

two round trip tickets from Canada to England = $1100.
incidental spending monies for 3 days = $500 ( est ).
2 all day metro passes = i could care less.
seeing Underworld, Krafty Kuts, Adam Freeland, and Atomic Hooligan in less than 48 hours...
Priceless.

Actually, You Do Scribble was available on several of the free live shows that were posted in Underworldlive.com, like Benicassim, Heineken Music Hall, Akademic Stadium. Hopefully, those shows will still be available when the Members area comes back, so you might just want to hold off for a while, or see if you can find a copy of those free shows elsewhere.

free? pay nothing. (I had to, sorry)
Before they started updating the underworldlive.com site, you could download audio or video of a couple of concerts they did in the past. For free.
These will be back in the near future.
In the mean time, get some of the live cds they are selling now through liveherenow.co.uk and support the band ;)

I wish there were other ways to buy and pay :(

May I ask how you recorded this? This thread is probably not meant for this subject.
I did manage to record the audio form last nights show with VLC media pleyer. But the video can't be recorded with that. I do have quicktime pro but I never tried it with that before.
Thnx

Since Underworld are selling CDs of that gig, we shouldn't be posting audio of it?
Precisely. Not that I am the Queen of anything round here, of course, but that is taking money from the band, frankly. And I don't agree with that. What people do elsewhere is entirely up to them, but we shouldn't be encouraging it on here.
Here endeth the first lesson.
Now all turn you hymn books to page 25, and sing verses one and two of Pearls Girl. :p

http://www.aloha.com/~tabanger/underworld/youdoscribblelondon1.mov
Wow...many thanks. I came in just after this yesterday. Quite a performance of YDS.
There was also some talk (in one of the interviews Karl did recently) about releasing a proper version of Scribble via underworldlive...b-side or through another riverrun.
Crazy to me that such a fleshed out song like this got a pass from being included on the album...though I'm not quite sure it fits amongst the other songs on OwB.

CaliWeed, any chance you can post the audio somewhere? I missed the whole second half of the show... :(
For reasons others mentioned, in this case I'm hesitant to make the recording available. Although I would say that most fans here are loyal enough to use these things as a way to be loyal to Underworld even more.
(I'm rather sure Underworld would say that also). Better to make an informed decision than a decision that could make you unwilling next time.
But, more practical a reason is that I wouldn't have the means to make it easily available I'm afraid (the file is 224 MB). I'm not very handy with ftp or something like that. Did figure out how to record with VLC media player though so if someone would like to know, I would be glad to help out.
Tonight and tomorrow another chance. How cool is Underworld for arranging that!!

I'd love to help the band, I have all their official albums and everything posted in the archives on uwlive.com, but I live in the states and that conversion ratio is KILLING me. I can't afford that. I may just have to sell my house and move to England. It might actually end up being cheaper....
grady
10-18-2007, 12:10 PM
I'm in a similar position.
While I spend money on the boys and support them in various venues and forms whether it's merchandise at live shows and official release material. I want all six of those live CDs, but due to budgetary constraints I'm only going to be able to afford one or possibly two. That exchange rate is a killer.
fyi, ordering all 6 shows comes to 101 GBP inc. shipping to the US.Thanks for the tip. I was considering all six, but I'm not sure it's necessary. Hard to know which ones to get though....
//\/\/
10-18-2007, 01:38 PM
definitely buy london 2 at this rate - even if they fuck it up and play the spoons for the rest of it, it's worth it!
negative1
10-18-2007, 02:00 PM
i was on the fence about which ones to buy also.
although now, since i'm working, i can afford all
of them..
however, if i couldn't get them all, i would definitely
buy the ones i wanted most, and then pay for the download
versions of the rest..
or, you could *ahem* find someone this getting different
ones from the ones you are..and work something out....etc..
the thing is, i remember when the tokyo show came out,
and how many issues, problems, complaints, etc there were.
i guess it comes down too, how long will these be available,
and will the underworld store sell them later on..
questions, questions..

I pity a lot of Yank Dirts with their weak US dollar, I am finding it difficult to justify purchasing the whole set and I'm in the UK with no exchange rate problems. Obviously as I went to the show on Wednesday at the Roundhouse I shall grab that but waiting to see what the Friday night show brings before deciding. The setlist from the 18th was killer though, after all these years UW are still one of the best live acts in the world.
