Fascinating tidbit: "To heal and to restore broken bodies" dialogue is Rick's dad!

Also, "Bungalow With Stairs"? It's listed on Matt's site (http://www.bigscreensatellite.co.uk/tracklistings.htm), but I've never heard it. Anyone have it?

"Hyde says a live web television broadcast is in the works for their three-day London stand from the Roundhouse, October 17-19."

And it sounds like Van Halen Van Halen Rock Guitar Band (http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forums/showthread.php?t=6400) might get an online release?

}...They're planning to release Internet-only material that didn't make the album, like "You Do Scribble," a title coined by Hyde's daughters, and "Bungalow With Stairs." They're doing more audio/visual experiments under The Riverrun Project umbrella, plus performance installations, a monthly publication called The Book of Jam, photography, film and support of other artists — all through the portal of their Web site. "

YEAH! Good stuff, indeed!

"Bungalow with Stairs" was on UWLive wayyy back when. i'll have to go digging for it.

Nice to hear that "You Do Scribble" and "To Heal and Restore" (w/Rick's dad's speech) + more RiverRun will appear on UWLive. And the idea of Underworld as a "factory" or collective with others taking over the moniker in the future, well that sends shivvers up my spine! Forward-thinking, indeed!

great interview! I love reading about how forward-thinking they are about what they do, and how much they love their jobs.

it's always been one massive jam for them -- one of my favorite quotes comes to mind, "Our music is a celebration of the human spirit" - Karl Hyde

Underworld without Rick and Karl...now there's a strange thought. Forward-thinking, indeed!

That's great about the new RiverRun, though! I always thought "Scribble" deserved the studio treatment. It will, as always, be fun to see/hear what the guys come up with!

Also, concert webcasts from the 17th to the 19th?? That sounds amazing, especially if there's a chat up like there was today. Why can't any other bands figure out how to do this?

The three-day concert run sounds quite interesting, indeed.

Plus he and Smith plan to record with New York-based singer and songwriter Nina Nastasia and are considering more intimate venues at which to perform their quieter material.

And that sounds even more interesting. Would love to see them tour in a more intimate setting and not play the usual bangers.

Glad to hear! I've had a friend working on mixing the dialouge from the webstream into the album version of to heal where it would fit. :D

well i hope this new Underworld (art) factory has a museum wing, because i'm vying to be the curator of that...

nice interview...

and i like the fact Karl has actually been listening to rap, because his lyrical style on a few new tracks owes a lot to the rap genre, but he has also restarted melodical 'singing' rather than just 'talking' through his songs which is also great...

the vocal diversification of Underworld's front man is getting better with age...
