So those of us who attended the Denver show are getting a free copy of the new album sent to us the day it's released. Obviously Karl didn't give us a lot of details about this, but I'm hoping someone in the Underworld camp can provide details for us.

1. Is the album being sent to us on the day it's released or is it being sent to us so that we get it on the day it's released?
2. Are we getting the limited edition version of the album or just the album?

That's all I can think of at the moment, but if anyone has any other questions, this is the thread to ask them.

Yeah, I would like to know this info too so I could buy the LE version if it's different. ALso, I didn't sign up there at the show but I did buy my tix through TicketNazi. Will I still get the cd?

You should. The sign-up thing after the show was for people who bought tickets with cash. If you bought your tickets online, they should have your address.

I'm wondering, for the Ticketmaster folks... Will it be one per address or one per ticket?

Cheers to the UW camp for setting this up. Since i've got the limited edition preordered already, i'll pass my free copy on to friends, in an attempt to get them hooked on UW. I feel kinda bad taking free stuff from my favorite band, so I'll try to make some new fans for you in the process... :)

FYI, found some info on the myspace page. Posting it here because not everybody checks it..

That was also posted in the Denver review thread earlier today. What the Myspace page doesn't say is that you will receive one album per ticket instead of just one for your whole order.

I think that's awesome... I would settle for one for just the ticket purchase, but one per is just killer.

that's pretty excellent. were the gig tickets really expensive or something?

That's awesome for the rest of us who paid for tickets to our local venues and get nothing. Of course, we got a great show, and I don't mean to demean that, but seriously, why not a free copy of the Hollywood Bowl show that I bought 4 tickets to? Well, hopefully I can get a hold of a copy of the Denver show.

I'm an ungrateful jerk, right?

1. its a copy of OWB, not the live show.

2. they changed venues from red rocks to the fillmore, everyone got pissed and this was the compensation

3. are you serious?

Exactly. I'd be willing to bet that more people flew from out of state to this show than to any other show, solely for the fact that it was at the legendary Red Rocks. We were all crushed that the venue was switched to some random indoors venue, especially when it was the main reason we all flew out for it in the first place. They realized this, and this is their way of saying, "Hey, you guys rock for traveling out here, we're sorry."

It's not as if they said, "We should give the CD free to one of our US shows, let's pull one of the dates out of a hat."

Yeah, before you get all pissy, you need to read the entirety of this thread to see what happened with this show:

Well one, I said I wasn't trying to demean the fact that they gave a great performance at the show I went to, and I appreciated that. Two, I didn't catch that it was a copy of OWB....I initially thought it was a copy of the live show in Denver. Three, Red Rocks was the "main reason" people flew out for the show? Not to see Underworld play? Okay.

Good for Underworld doing this to make it up to the fans.

I hate to state the obvious, but...

Obviously Underworld is the first and foremost reason anyone flew to any of those events. Red Rocks was the deciding factor as to which event.

Well, I went to Denver because I live in New Mexico, and it's not that far a drive for me. I didn't want to go to California, and I did want to see UW at Red Rocks considering I'd seen Daft Punk there recently and it was amazing, but as I have said I am actually glad that it was moved. It was much better to be able to get that close to the stage, and to be that near the guys. Red Rocks looks and sounds amazing, but it does not allow one much in the way of dancing (at all - it's all rafters people, and they can't be taken out), and definitely not in the way of getting up close and personal with the band playing, because there is at least a 10 foot buffer between you and the stage, even if you get the closest up front, which you can't, as row 1 is reserved.

What I'm saying here is that I think that we should all be grateful that the show happened, and seriously that it was at the Filmore. I really do think the experience was actually better because of this.

Still nothing. There was an e-mail address for Live Nation that was given to us (in this thread or another) that we could e-mail if we had questions. I plan on doing so tomorrow, because this is crap.

Do we know that it is Live Nation who is doing the distribution? I would have thought it would have been someone closer to home in the Underworld family. I was thinking of dropping a friendly inquiry to Underworldlive myself.

As of Today, I still have not gotten the CD(s) from Live Nation. I did send a question last Thursday to the address in the email. As of right now, I still have not gotten any response on that either. Starting to piss me off...

here's a thought, BUY THE CD. SUPPORT THE BAND. then give your free copy to a friend and try to convert them to supporting Underworld too.

Way ahead of you. Had the CD from day one, was hoping to give the two free copies to my dad and a friend of mine. It's the principle of the thing that has me ticked off, to be honest.

yeah, i hear ya. i have a friend in Colorado also waiting to get his copy. the way i look at it is it's a free copy that i don't really need and didn't really need to be given for the venue change. i think we all won by UW playing at the Fillmore instead of Red Rocks. they were in great spirits and put on an amazing show. i've now seen or heard 11 shows on this tour and Denver is the one i've most enjoyed. would much rather have a soundboard recording of that show than the OWB cd.

Honestly, if I was going to give an Underworld CD to a friend to convert them, it'd be something better than OWB. Plus, there's not a lot of places up here in Montana that will have more than one copy of the album.

But this wait is bullshit. Can someone give us a head's up on the delay?

I received my two copies Monday and I must say....GREAT JOB BOYS!!!!!!! I have not taken it out of my cd player. It is beautiful and spookily haunting. I love it. I wish I could say I had a fav song but The whole albut flows like lyrical dream which I don't want to awaken from. It was well worth the antisipation and I wish my boys of UW great job, indeed!

I JUST got mine today... I had made a point to not listen to tracks from the CD, save for what I heard at the live show, so as to have it be the best experience for me.

I am on "Best Mamgu Ever" right now - and I am loving it as a closer to the album. Overall, this album is much more along the lines of a Thievery Corporation album in many ways; a bit slower, chilled out, but with those parts that just hook you back for more. I can say definitely that I enjoyed Crocodile and Beautiful Burnout the most, but Mamgu is right up there now, this track is beautiful.

I think what I like here is that, OWB is really just anothher sketch by the boys; I mean, we've had so much material lately, with Riverruns and the like, that we've really been fed a lot of UW material, and I've loved that. I like the aspect of releasing download albums and one shots, then relesing the CD, etc. etc.

Nice work boys. Nice. Many, many thanks.
