this documentary looks and sounds hysterical. i just caught a radio interview with the director seth gordon on KCRW's -the treatment- http://www.kcrw.com/etc/programs/tt

(http://www.kcrw.com/etc/programs/tt) the film manages to capture and exploit many 80's nuances ranging from the cheesy music of rocky and the karate kid to the dorkyness of early die-hard gamers:D

yes. agreed. this movie is AMAZING. Yes it is funny but it's also almost an epic of mythological proportions. You'll be amazed at how much this film engages you and makes you care about a high score on Donkey Kong. Can't recommend it highly enough. if it plays your city, SEE IT!

I saw the premier here in Queens (Museum of the Moving Image). The director, producer and the main good guy (Steve Weebee) were there discussing it afterwards.. much like Brotherlovesdub's experience.

GREAT film, even my wife loved it. Pure emotion. I can't believe characters like that exist in the real world. It's truely unbelievable. :)

just want to throw another recommendation up. saw this tonight and it's fantastic, hilarious, and heartwarming.
i will sleep well tonight, comfortable in the knowledge that i will NEVER be as nerdy as some of the guys featured in this film.
