sounds like a Riddick : Dark Fury kind of deal.

Peter Chung made Dark Fury after doing a segment for Animatrix, with the story happening immediately after the events in Pitch Black. The main guy chasing Riddick at the beginning of Chronicles, was introduced in the Dark Fury story.
