TMO is in the australian movie One Perfect Day.
The rest of the soundtrack (http://idealcopy.american-data.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MU-SOUND-ONEPE-01) is not bad either.

Not a movie, but I was at Busch Garden's Howl-o-scream event last weekend (a haunted house sort of attraction for those who aren't familiar with it) and heard some Underworld. There was a dance club themed haunted house, and on the speakers played Rowla followed by Kittens. Very cool.

What's the story with the music for this film? Who picked the soundtrack? Putting Rez/Cowgirl in the nightclub scene and also having Doot Doot in the elevator scene towards the end of the movie, that's more than coincidence. I highly doubt someone would pick a song like Doot Doot at random.
Been a couple years since this spot (since the National Hockey League missed a season due to a lockout) but Born Slippy Nuxx is played at the Toronto Maple Leafs home hockey arena seconds before the start of the game (after the anthems) as crowd pump-up music....they've done this 4 or 5 years....maybe longer. But with the year off, I didn't know if they'd keep up the tradition.
I've been trying to catch the beginning of the game for the last month, finally did this last weekend, and thankfully they are still playing Nuxx. So....Underworld Born Slippy Nuxx still gets heard by a significant amount of the male population of Canada every week....:)

(p.s. Some old guy died on the player bench maybe 3 years ago while Nuxx was being played....almost all of Nuxx was played. It was surreal to watch.... the last music the guy ever heard was Born Slippy Nuxx.)

The game was delayed 35 minutes because Art Jackson, nephew of deceased former hockey player Harvey "Busher" Jackson collapsed during a pregame ceremony.
Toronto was honoring the top 25 Leafs of all-time when Jackson collapsed. The Maple Leafs doctor pumped Jackson's heart for at least 10 minutes before the 78-year-old Jackson was taken off on a stretcher and later died.

Vanilla Sky is a Cameron Crowe movie...Crowe is a true audiophile who seems to have the utmost respect for groudbreaking music and songs that evoke true emotion.

A friend of mine bought the soundtrack and it was fantastic, but neither Rez or Doot Doot were on it. It also has a few Sigur Ros songs which were great, Solsbury Hill, my favorite Peter Gabriel song, Everything in it's Right Place by Radiohead, and Where Do I Begin off Dig Your Own Hole. Also Loops of Fury is in the movie, isn't it? But yeah, great soundtrack.
Can't say as much for the movie. I loved all the subtleties and stuff, but the ending is just one gigantic plot hole that I can't bring myself to even try to understand.
I spotted this today, anything look familiar? :)

I walked past a store where rows of televisions where playing a familiar song.. I stopped for a moment to think what it was. It was Underworld (mk1) - change the weather! Because the logo of the station was in the top of the screens I could trackback what was on.

An episode of "The Family Guy" spoofs Trainspotting. It has Stewie the baby recovering from a make-believe crack addiction. Lying in bed he sees himself crawling on the ceiling with his head turning round, and all this while a DarkTrain-ish song is playing. Not really Underworld, but kind of fun nonetheless ;)

just reading through it... (very long article:))
"A film was also created for Underworld's Japan shows based around another book by Warrick called Floating World; Smith built a score around the film, and it was screened at the Tokyo show."
...!!!
"Underworld provides a good lesson in how to deal with the current state of the music industry. The duo knows its place in it and continues to work hard so as not to be perceived as, according to Hyde, “a bunch of old farts playing dance music.” They are incredibly ambitious artists, treat their fans to the best live show in dance music and offer an endless stream of fresh material through their own controlled Website. At a time when music is cheapened through MTV and car commercials, Underworld remains solid gold."

There's a commercial on Australian TV right now with "Banstyle - Sappys Curry" as the backing music. It's one of those "Dial this number, answer a question and go into the draw to win a ipod/mac mini/blah" ones.

replying to the quite old question about vanilla sky, i was watching an interview with tom cruise when that came out and he said that the music that was in the movie was simply the music that was being played around the set during filming. stuff that he and cameron crowe were listening to.
the family guy episode was the best thing ever the first time i saw that. "i know youre only trying to help. i waaant pancakes!"
Only tangentially related, but there is that Family Guy episode during the closing credits where they spoof the baby scene in Trainspotting with Stewie crawling on the ceiling. I guess that's Dark Train, but it's really not.

This one is a little obscure but here in chicago on espn radio 1000, mike and mike in the morning use twist as background music from time to time.
I just got back from a dance show in which my sister participates.
One of the choreographies featured Little Speaker!
Fun to see people dance to Underworld in a structured way :D
Also in Chicago, this eclectic rock station, WXRT 93.1 (best commercial radio station in my opinion) does these flashback shows where they play music from a certain year. They did 1993 recently and the background music for the intro was something from Dubno, but I totally forgot what song it was.
I also saw the live version of Born Slippy form Everything Everything in one of those electronic jukeboxes at a bar the other night. Strange choice.

This is a kind of tenuous connection, but bear with me on this. ;)
Firstly, I have always thought that Peggy Sussed was about a visit to DisneyWorld/Land. The lyrics make sense to me in that context. You may agree, you may think I am out there where the buses don't run...
Any road up, last night I saw an ad on TV for DisneyWorld with a little girl dressed up as a princess. And she says "I am a princess", then points to her dog and says "And this is my horse."
Hmmmm. :)

only UW spot i can remember was during the Olympics, NBC used "Rez" during one of their athlete profiles. It was either a pole vaulter or a skiier, i think...something high-flying!
Janie, that "I'm a princess and this is my horse" spot is GREAT! In my mind, i imagined "Peggy Sussed" taking place in NYC or somewhere urban, and Mickey walking on the face of the water and making the dirt clean is a reflection of a float in a parade. But your spot makes much more sense!
Not by Disney, but in the 1995 version of "A Little Princess", the protagonist declares, "I AM a princess. All girls are".
That's nothing about UW but reminds me of the last RiverRun title. Plus, its a line of dialog i like to repeat:p ;)
