rtsr and dirty.org both have groups on Facebook now (thanks to the Dirts that started them.) Good fun, especially on days when the Dirty server has been down :) ;)

yeah they added a bunch of applications right as finals week rolled around so it was fun doing my best to not get addicted.

but i hadn't thought of the group to take discussion there. i was just wondering if the LJ group was going to pick up but it never did.

Glad to see I'm still the 'enforcer', whatever that means.

i have it gambit, but it is mostly a big waste of time, and the best thing about it was ruined imo when they added the applications cause now it is getting to be as messy as myspace (stuff everywhere and different)

ive been on it for a couple months and i must say, its the best way to get back in touch with all those girls i used to date. ( thankfully, theyre still smiling ):p
or something like that.
the amount of people re found from my schooling is insane...so many familiar faces, yet from close to 28 years ago ( piss off, im not that old ).

Im sick of random stuid applications that people keep on trying to get me to add.yeah, but trust me, you need jetman in your life - it's like that old copter game we used to play on these forums and insanely addictive :)

Facebook is the great procrastination tool. i do use it to keep in touch with friends from school, and if they're current with their announcements, i actually learn a lot about what's going on in their lives. Miles better than the bucket of weaksauce known as Friendster, and a lil more "real" than Myspace. Sure, it was fun being "friends" with musicians on Myspace for a while, and i still enjoy the music and pumping my own tracks there:

:p

but, it all seems a little too impersonal. Sooo many people on myspace, and the format of the pages is like a sensory overload. I'll agree that the facebook applications are getting out of control, but at least they're neatly arranged and you can close them up if you want, and no one's forcing you to add apps.

I dont know if i can be bothered with yet another one of these social networking sites. I've done Friendster, Orkut, Hyves, MySpace and theyre all pretty shit. Hyves is probably the best but its very Netherlands focused and the server is so slow. Orkut got overrun by Brazilians and Friendster is infested with fake people. MySpace is just one big mess.

One of the best things about facebook is the list of upcoming birthdays.

And being able to stalk people.
