Some more info and comments about the film have gone up over at this site (http://daily.greencine.com/archives/003754.html#more).
I'm excited to see it.

Mmm..Samantha Morton is an excellent actress too. Most well-known in the States for her role in Minority Report, I would think, but an excellent TV drama actress here prior to that. Good bit of casting.

And Samantha Morton was also great in the Sweet and Lowdown which she received a lot of praise for here in the states and an oscar nomination too in 1999(not that matters too much). She was also great in Morvern Caller.

That is SO not funny!!
(OK - maybe just a little bit. I suppose we need to make allowances for the fact that you are Spanish and living in Holland. It must be hard for you to find anything much to laugh about. :p )
I saw it yesterday as it's already visible here.
It's a great movie, even if you see it just as "a" movie.
If you're a Joy Division and/or an Anton Corbijn fan, then you'll love it. Samantha Morton is great as she usually is, but Sam Riley (literally being Ian Curtis) is amazing.
It's "technically" beautiful (a very contrasted black & white Ã* la Anton Corbijn). The OST & the way they filmed the gigs (the actors having apparently played live) is brilliant.
One of the best movie of 2007 (http://imdb.com/title/tt0421082/)

I got to see this tonight and just wanted to add a "me too" to the Loved It pile. I'm just a casual Joy Division fan so I can't speak to how accurate it was or how close the actors look/behave like their characters but I can say that everything seemed 100% dead on. It's not a short movie (I think what I saw ended up at around 130 minutes) but very good. The live shows were all really well done (A producer was in attednance and said that all the actors had to learn their instruments (Sam Riley knew how to sang but had to smoke a bunch of cigarettes to lower his voice) and by the time they shot the gig scenes they actually performed the songs then acted to their own playback... which is great considering how it sounds. Yes it is a tad different but it also has all the messiness of a live performance so... I was impressed.
Everyone already knows how pretty it is, but it's really shot as if from moving black and white photos. I'm not sure the camera ever moved (it probably did, I wasn't keeping a tally or anything, but after watching the previous film (which felt like 90% handheld and steadicam work) this felt extremely static and composed.
Good stuff to be sure.

The film finally peaks it's head into the Northwest of the States.
It's a solid portrait of a band and specifically an artist in movement and growth and ultimately demise.
Not to conradict b.miller, but the camera did indeed move, and quite often.

oh. this movie was beautiful.
the camera did moves a lot.. meant not to?
I fucking loved Rob character so much ;). and well Sam Riley is incredible as well as Sam Morton and Tony Wilson. I just felt this is totally based in Steve Coogan role in 24hr party people.
it was incredible. So the last song is The Killers?.. wow. im impressed i thought there were a gore band or something like that ;)
oh i forget to say, the whole end made me cry.
