I'm in the mood for pure electro music

Stuff like Kraftwerk's "Aerodynamik" and LFO's "Freak".

I know some electro artists (like kraftwerk) but I'd like to learn more.
I don't necessarely want danceable electro, just good stuff to listen/smoke to. With long pads and stuff.

Recommend me some :)

Thanks.

Claro Intelecto - Neurofibro, definitely.

Claro Intelecto's debut album, is well and truly worthy of the hype surrounding it. Included on the cd version are tracks from the two ep's, Peace Of Mind, and Section. Peace Of Mind is the first track, an electro classic with it's emotive Rhodes keys and addictive bassline. Baudrillards Supper reminds me of Murcof, with it's haunting piano. Nobody, is lush techno at it's finest, and brings to mind the works of Stasis, and John Beltran. Without a duff track in sight, Neurofibro is sure to appeal to fans of Underground Resistance, Warp's Artificial Intelligence series, and good electronic music in general. I used to think he was overrated, but now I'm addicted.

In fact, anything on Ai Records is worth checking out for satisfying your electro thirst :)

Many thanks for the suggestions. I'm now getting some stuff that you recommended. I already had a few tracks by Two Lone Swordsmen, one of them is "Foreververb". I really enjoy this one, and maybe you guys know similar stuff? I'm not really looking for the "dated" electro to be honest.

I know this is "dated" but these are the songs i think of everytime i hear "electro":
Afrika Bambaataa - Looking For The Perfect Beat
Moskwa TV - Generator 78

you might wanna check out Modelselektor, G.D. Luxxe, Ascii Disko (though I'm not 100% sure whether they qualify as "electro", they sound pretty semi-minimal blippy mm*tstt*mm*tstt to me)
and get: Moby - Go (Trentemoller remix)

Radioactive Man, AKA Keith Tenniswood, is one half of TLS. You really should pick up his debut album as BLD said. Sits nicely between listening/dancing music but it's all really good.

what about :

The Egyptian Lover -> You've got to at least check out the track "Egypt Egypt"
Sexual Harassment - "I Need a Freak"

but if you want more new-ish kind of sound, like electro-punk/whatever... pretty much anything by Boys Noize, Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco, any of the Kitsuné Maison compilations...

"Aerodynamik" reminds me of a lot of stuff on the Kompakt label, maybe you should try one of them? Grab one of their compilations, you'll find plenty to like there ;)

I'm not sure if this is really what you're after, but I've just got hold of the album In Miniature by Rubicks. It's sort of electro-pop I suppose. I can't think off the top of my head of anyone to compare them to I'm afraid.

They've got that sort of slightly dark, almost kinky edge to them, a bit like later Goldfrapp, I guess, but with a pop sensibility.

Check out Midas, the first song I heard, on their Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/rubicks)

It's pretty rough mostly. I like the narrative quality of the music when listening along with the tracklisting but a few of the cuts are a bit too amelodic [sic?] and aggressive. However, Digital Tsunami is absolutely wonderful. I like Grava 4 the best I think.
