Anyone saw the season opener of last sunday? I didn't even know there was going to be a new season, so I was a bit surprised. It was awesome though, I can't wait for the next episode :)

Marc Antony was perfectly cast. I was looking forward to Sunday night (24, Rome, Extras all with season premieres) and wasn't disappointed with anything I saw.
This is going to be a great (and final) season of Rome.

I can see it coming.
Rome - The prequel: Punic Wars!

The season opener was great. What a dark way to start out. Can't wait to see where it goes from here....

i'd heard rome was too expensive and took to long to shoot so it's only getting 2 seasons?
Extras is really great this season. I bet a lot of people either watched it on TV over in England or downloaded the shows on the internet when they were broadcast like 4 months ago, but I liked it tons more than the first season.

The budget sank Rome.
As far as Extras...episodes 1 and 2 of season 2 are on OnDemand right now...

I hope they won't end with a cliffhanger at least...

Anyone seen the finale last night? I liked it but it came a bit sudden. I don't like how they did some of the time jumps in this show, it's kinda confusing for me...

I don't like how they did some of the time jumps in this show, it's kinda confusing for me...I missed the first 5 or 10 minutes, so the wife and I are waiting to watch it On Demand tonight. Been loving this season, so I can't wait to see how it all gets wrapped up. They have been doing some significant time jumps this year. You can tell they're trying to get as much into this last season as possible.

yeah... but if i reember correctly there were some massive time jumps in the first season as well... like years. although there did seem to be more this season... I really would've liked to have seen the show end with the downfall of the roman empire (not really knowing any of the history i have no idea how much further down the road that is) but another take on the Cleopatra & Antony thing is fine too... at least they didn't tie jesus into it.
I thought it was a good show although it never 100% got me like Deadwood and The Wire and the first few seasons of The Sopranos... I am kinda bummed to see it end but then again... there's good stuff coming up!

ahh if only they had a third season :)
Watched it last night. The time jumps weren't confusing to me, but they were a bit jarring. It felt too rushed. Too bad they didn't have the budget to take their time through a few more episodes. Overall though, Rome had to have been one of my top two or three HBO series favorites.
