WOWOWOW!! What a way to open a season! Anyone else watching this? The sure as hell made an event out of it.

They're selling the episodes in packs of 4, it would seem, rather than wait until after the entire season is over with to release the entire box set.

I only saw the first season a while ago, and I enjoyed it but wasn't really aching for more after that. I still have the second season on my 'puter though so I might come around to watching further at some point. Maybe after I've finished watching Battlestar Galactica :)

Just a quick note to remind everyone that ANY SPOILERS AT ALL, no matter how small you may think they are, will be met with the ban stick.

I'm not kidding.

I've got the last 4 eps of season 5 to go, then I have the first 4 of 6 sitting on my desktop.

I fucking love 24 so bad it hurts.

Season 2 and 3 are dreadful. If I were you, I'd skip them and continue with season 4.

What the fuck are you smoking? Season 2 was great, 3 had a hint of silliness about it (though was still great) and 4 was the show's low-point (though still great). 5 was the most awesome OTT stupid-fest but was brilliant for it.

Season 6 starts here on Sunday night and I've already got a permanent bonk-on waiting for it. New Prison Break started last night too.

The end of episode 4 is quite a doozy. There shall be no discussion of the contents of said episode for at least a couple of weeks, when people can catch up.

I though Season 2 was a bit crap, because (<spoilers below>):
A nuclear bomb exploded near Jack and he survived

<end of spoilers>

And I thought season 3 was just boring.

i think EVERY season gets unwatchably crappy at around hour 14 and doesn't pick up till hour 20-22.... every season I'm like "am I really gonna watch another one of these?" and then I decide to see the first bunch of them just to see and get COMPLETELY hooked even so i have to sit through the complete shit parts of the third quarter of the season just to see how it all ends.

god damn this show and its secret ingredient which makes me want more.

but yeah, this season is great so far :)

I ran out of steam at the beginning of series 3 and haven't watched it since, I have to say.

Might give series 6 a try though. We'll see :)

First 2 episodes aired tonight here. Awesomeness. I want more.

Just looked at Amazon.com and their unbox video service. Anyone know if I can make this work in the UK? Or should I just P2P for my next fix?

I see we're all worried about spoilers here. But the season premiere was good. It would be fun to start a 24 death pool for major characters...

I hate to admit that I saw this on VH1's Best Week Ever (I was channeling surfing and saw they were talking about 24). Watch the Season 6 premiere and then recall Kiefer Sutherland in the movie 'Lost Boys'. I've reached my own conclusions.

I downloaded and watched the first 4 hours of season 6 and holy hell. Shaping up to be a great season.

Jaynee - I wouldn't recommend skipping seasons 4 and 5. They're awesome, and there's quite a bit on continuity throughout 4, 5 and 6.

I just got caught up this evening with the first four episodes.

WOW!

I'm hooked/fished-in but I'm trying not to be. I know I will be in tomorrow evening to watch TV.

Speaking of, that was a bit of a twist. I had wondered what happened to that guy at the end of season 5...

SO. Did anyone else shit their pants when they recognized Jack's brother to be part of the "Bluetooth Mafia" that was behind the attacks in the LAST season?!?!?!?

Who is still watching this?

I actually missed two weeks, but downloaded both of them and watched them back-to-back before the new episode on Monday. I realized this is best way to watch 24. Several episodes strung together. So intense. I used to make fun of my friends at college who would do marathons of a whole season while drinking 24 beers and eating 24 pieces of pizza which eqauls like 24,000 calories.

There was a bit of a plot re-focusing a few weeks back, but I have to admit, it's still pretty good. Only a few episodes left...

I thought some of the middle episodes of the season lagged but theyve really picked up steam the last couple episodes. Although admitibaly my inner fanboy does cartwheels every time J.B. punches somebody in the face. They had me though when the chinese guy busted out the rocket launcher.

24 is better in bulk but that weekly wait is hard enough as is.

This series did turn super shit in the middle. Like, really bad. Fuck love stories in CTU and episodes that barely feature Jack at all. Plus, fuck crowbarring in old characters under the most tenuous of storylines for no good reason whatsoever.

I think Aaron Pearce is the only other character (besides Jack) to have featured in every series, but was there ANY point in him being in series 6? No, not really. Unless the point was to make him look fucking lame.

yeah i'm seriously ready to break up with 24 over this season. I think it's been the shittiest the longest this year and can't see it redeeming anything in the last few episodes. Really strong first 4 episodes but... that's about it.

This season is still going? I stopped around episode 12. But then I was never really dating 24 and those first four episodes were pretty great, then it spun into non-sense and incoherence.
