Indeed! I have kicked myself for missing them in 2002 since, well, 2002!

Well, i will be happy with whatever appears, and of course i am looking forward to the Sunshine OST and new studio LP.

But if we are talking about "wishes", how about:
Another RiverRun, this one of banging really aggressive techno!
A Lemonworld jam of all new material and studio outtakes!
The new LP to include: "Globe", "Always Loved a Film", "You Do Scribble", "All these Things", "Five Ft Five" and "Can You Feel this Bass?" :)

A US Tour would be golden. I have very fond Memories of the 2002 tour here. Got to see them at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Any other dirts recall the event?

Five albums, a U.S.--nay, a Montana tour!, a new live DVD/CD with a prize for the five people who find the golden disc and the prize being a trip to Lemonworld (just like Willy Wonka!), a Tomato/Underworld clothing line and home decor set, clones of Rick and Karl so they can double their work, and that U2 collaboration.

Beat that!

Barring that, a Toronto tour date in '07.

my wish is for all the videos currently on uwlive to be replaced by high(er) quality versions as torrents. No more stamp-sized videos please thanks :)

Some decent looking merch wouldn't be too bad either. And cd/flac versions of the riverrun releases.
And the new album should be a double. It's beem more than 4 years since the last one (okay I know they've released other stuff in the meantime but still) and there's already enough good new material from the liveshows and broadcasts to fill one disc, let alone all the stuff we haven't heard yet.

i like KoS's recommendations.. that would be nice...

or things like footwear repair on dvd (or equivalent, of ALL their music videos on a single dvd, released world wide, not just in japan)... is that too much to ask?!

AUSSIE TOUR

Or something nearby, at least... If you're going to be in Japan it's not too far to Singapore, or even (gasp) Sydney... I missed em at Big Day Out '03 and four years is a long time to wait.

Anyway, yes! World tour in support of new LP, methinks.

Also, re-release of Beaucoup Fish on 180gm 12"! Why did they stop doing these?

And just for one truly ridiculous suggestion, pick my band (River of Bass) to support your forthcoming Australian tour. That would be much of the rockings. (Promise we'll do awesome)

i would like to see 'Born Slippy 2007', with remixes by the Ozric Tentacles, Rolf Harris and David Tennant.

Failing that, a US Tour (with a date in Atlanta) would be splendid.

i disagree. a phenominal album with phenominal b sides is better than a really long album with some really great stuff with some filler.

King of Snake
01-06-2007, 01:46 AM
this is true of course. I'm just saying, it's been soooo long since the last album that they should be able to get a good double album together without filler.
But I'll also be happy with just a great album and maybe another Riverrun release :)

is this the Underworld 'Tour' Wishlist for 2007?

How 'bout rather than just requesting a tour that we request some decent releases for them to play on 'said' tours... or some 'other materials to be released...

tours are nice and i know that they haven't been to the US for a while... but come on guys there are better and more likely things to wish for than wishing for UW to come and play some minor states in the US - to be honest its more likely that UW will get John Lennon to guest vocal on their next album

A Toronto tour date.
A CD release of the RiverRun 12 inches (preferably a North American Release).
Oh and an official release of "Lenny Penne (Porno Breaks vs Whitenoise Remix)"
I also agree with the track requests for the new album.

you know that this mix is also called the High Society Mix - just in case you're ever looking for it elsewhere....still was never properly released though

How about more LIVE in UW live. I was listening today to dubno and thought it would be cool to see them perform tracks like Tongue with live guitars. I know Karl plays sometimes live, but it would be fun to see him let loose on stage. Kinda like the jazzy Jumbo from the webcast... Karl was riffing over the top of the song and it was quite sweet. Rick is known to be quite the pianist so he can improvise on some songs too. Anyone with me?

I'm all for more live guitar by Karl. It seems every time he uses it on stage something magical comes out (see first track of the Amsterdam gig, now on uwlive.com).

He should really consider adding the guitar parts back into Spikee when they play it live. That's one of the things that makes the original track so great but sadly it's always left out when they do it live.

Exactly! I listened to that song after I wrote that post and it's a perfect example of the added effect of live guitar. I don't want them to become a guitar band, it would just be cool to hear that extra layer of sound to make those songs that much better. :)

edit: Oh, and I don't wish that UW comes to Grand Forks, ND, USA... I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

my wishes:

1.a tour where I could see them live (though it'll have to be in the US, I don't have the funds to travel to the UK)
2.the new album

I got my third wish yesterday when the boys listened to my cover of Born Slippy, apparently it was not very liked.

2 will come true this year.

that's my understanding. I guess I could count the soundtracks and digital downloads into that, but overall I want a new disc of some heavy material.

Looking forward to it boys.
