I wish Claire would were something other then the cheerleader outfit. Doesn't she have any other clothes?

she was in "street" clothes 99% of last nights episode. i only recall her in her outfit during the final sequence.

I know, I was excited that *finally* there's an episode where she's not wearing it.. then we see her wearing it in the future, in NEW YORK!?? WHy?? I think it will just end up being her superhero costume or something but it's really hard to take her seriously when she wears it constantly. Gotta retire that shit like Buffy did.

hmm...I didn't really take that to be the for-reals future, but more like a vision. did you notice that Peter was wearing Sylar's clothes in that sequence?:D

gonna be hard to wait til 1/22 for the new episodes!

peter is going to die or at least get consumed by Sylar. that's my thought anyway. they made it pretty obv. when the two met this past episode. claire and peter are the two essential pieces to sylar's power.

God damn it. I am absolutely hooked on this. It's sooooo goood. Mr Bennett is great - sort of bad, but sort of good, and you so desperately want him to stay good. And Hiro is absolutely adorable. Which is kind of weird.

Peter's a bit Keanu-Reeves-In-Bill-And-Ted-Or-The-Matrix though. Spaced out and amazed all the time. Not so good.

Can't wait for more, I just hope it doesn't do a Lost and start stringing out the plot more than it can take.

This show is pretty great. Just enough cliffhangers to keep you interested and excited, but not to the ridiculous extent of Lost or something like that. Great writing and characterizations. You should check out Hiro's blog on the NBC website too. Dude drops some serioiusly nerdy gamer references.

So this has been back for two weeks now, and I'm still pretty into it.

I maintain Hiro is the greatest television character of all time.

The first episode aired in AU last week, and all the cool people I know are all like "dude, did you watch heroes omg" and I'm like, "Bitch, I'm on episode 14, stop flossin'"

Did I miss something? Why didn't Claire just shoot Peter? Why did Nathan want to kill himself :p

It's possible shooting would make him explode. Safer to take him away.

this played at a random timeslot in nz - so have torrented the first series and been watching it the last couple of days.

damn, it's good stuff - fun, engaging, geeky, but not uber cheese.

so glad i torrented it - I would have been killing waiting for episodes to arrive on tv.

FYI: How to make your own spoiler tag (http://www.darktrain.org/dirty/forums/showthread.php?t=4298)

Not that I've dared to read this thread before watching the whole series, but that brown up there doesnt really match the background.

As for the series, I thought it was great but yes, wondering about the same thing as Patrick. Oh and the girl who plays Charlie (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1724323/)is *fap* :D

since Heroes has finished its run on (the satellite only) Sci-Fi channel here...

i've seen them all now,

but mainstream BBC2 are showing it (from next week i think), expect a lot more UK people to get into it fairly soon...

i'm looking forward to the DVD set which has at least 50 deleted scenes and the original Pilot episode (which was never shown here)

those who do want spoilers who haven't seen it should just go to the Heroes website...

http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/

which has catch ups and downloads galore - plus some nice downloads

anyway I agree Hiro is by far the best character ever created

So, I've rushed through season one these past three days and am totally intrigued. Lovely drawn characters, surprising plot-twists, absorbing fates - what more could you want from a TV series? (Though sometimes it was a bit close to X-Men and the season finale was predictable.)

Can season two keep up the level of tension and originality? Is it worth watching?

Season 2 was widely criticized by commentators and fans alike. Even the show's creator has apologized about it.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Heroes creator Tim Kring commented on criticisms of season two, and the series' 15% decline in ratings. Kring said that he felt he had made mistakes with the direction of season two. He had thought that the audience was looking for a "build-up of characters and the discovery of their powers", in contrast to season one, when viewers were instead looking for "adrenaline."

Kring also outlined what he felt were problems with plot development, stating that the second season "took too long to get to the big-picture story", explaining that [*DELETED SPOILER*] should have occurred in the first episode instead of the seventh. He feels that it would have been better to introduce new characters within the context of the main storyline, as with Elle, rather than in unattached arcs such as that of Maya and Alejandro. Kring also admitted that he should have resolved the "Hiro in Japan" storyline much more quickly, and that the romantic stories are not working well. With regards to Claire and West, and Hiro and Yaeko, he said, "I've seen more convincing romances on TV. In retrospect, I don't think romance is a natural fit for us."

But Season 3 is a big improvement, so stick with it.

What about Hiro? And what's with this romantic nonsense? At least some super-power sex scenes?
But Season 3 is a big improvement, so stick with it.Alright, I'll try and trudge through season two.

ya, season 3 of heroes is coming along much better than season 2 was... that was sappy crap and this here shows so much cool promise, although it's a bit confusing and twisty at times, be better to watch in binges rather than every week where you forget bits...

it's a bit confusing and twisty at times

almost too twisty, think were 5 episodes and i honestly don't know whose good and whose bad anymore; which i kinda like:) i find watching the previous episode just before the new one helps; that and lots of pausing while my wife and I discuss points

anyhow its definately a return to form after the disappointment of season 2. the scenes with sylar & HRG together i find particuarly brilliant/amusing

patrick

ya. totally almost too twisty. I think rewatching once it is all done will help a lot. THis is one of the series that watching it in one huge weekend binge would be way easier to understand that this weekly basis where you forget stuff, especially the minor stuff so easily.

But ya, Sylar/Gabe is awesome this season. I really like his conflicts. I find Peter a total lameo/weakling for being(been) easily the most powerful hero...
