The trailer for the new David Fincher film has just been released. The only irritating thing is we have to wait until March or April. I can't help but not get excited when there is a new Fincher film looming on the horizon.

For some extra viewing, head over to the apple Final Cut Pro site to see Mr. Fincher work and discuss cutting Zodiac, which is his first film to be shot digitally.

It's just around the bend and I'm kind of too eager to see it.

Here is a nice little piece from this past Sunday's NY Times that has some good little tidbits expounding about the film.

For some more info about how Fincher shot the film digitally sans tape, head over to these links.

Just remember, "Fincher never hurt nobody." (If you know the film this is referencing, cool!)

I got a chance to see this... i really liked it. My one complaint is very tired use of source music, but other than that I really dug on it. It's long but totally worth it.

and i didn't read the book but understand it follows pretty closely.

Zodiac will change everything you thought you knew about serial killers.

!! Together with The Departed, one of the best new investigation/crimie movie ever!

Just add Robert Downey Jr to everything and see what happens :)
Worth the wait.

Such a fine and engrossing film. Damn that was a great experience.

I screened it earlier this morning privately at a cinema with a friend who is a projectionist. It's always nice to indulge in the luxury of an empty auditorium from time to time.

The film was long, but didn't really drag and I wish it were longer at times too. Downey Jr. was great as was Ruffalo and even Gyllenhall.

Fincher is the real star. This is perhaps his most accomplished film in what it achieves. At times the film feels like a novel. There is no one main through line as far as character arcs go. Characters, or rather people move in and out of the narrative with an ebb and flow that feels at times like a novel.

I am not Avery :D!!

So.. it's based in the book or is just the Fincher version of the whole thing?
This thing (z0diac) is obsessive.. here i am reading about it since 2 days ago jeje...

And.. Just for the record. First digital film from scratch. There are no negatives.. the record directly to hard drives the frames: 18 million +!!!
