This (http://www.deathofapresident.com/) film caused a bunch of people and critics here in the states and elsewhere to go nutty when it debuted at the Toronto film festival last month.
It's going to be released here in the states on 27.10.06 and many of the major theatrical distributors have refused to show it, much to their interest in the bottom line and selling tickets.
For those interested, it's out there on the internet already.
The film surprised me in how effective and seamless the filmmakers integrated footage of the president and public figures to achieve a sense of reality. Overall I was impressed with the film and enjoyed it. It's a good idea, wonderfully excuted that is a great talking point for discussion, and would be applicable for any country and public to consider, esp. here in the states in the post 911 political climate.
