once again Mr Hyde and his partner of 20 odd years. Mr Smith have showed us why we appreciate what they do so much....(see todays' UWLive...25/07/05)

Karl has, as usual, taken time out to read these forums and see how we are feeling the 'Underworld'...

everyone has opinions and theories, and will have different viewpoints on the music and things that Underworld generate, and i think Karl and Rick (and Darren and everyone else working on the new stuff and tours) are taking notice, not necessarily changing things because we demand them, but they are listening and feeding from it...everything they do is for themselves, but also to set things right so that we'd enjoy it as well...afterall they wanna give us as good a time as they are having...

Stimpee's 'of my chest' thread, too is bang on...give the guys time to get it right...they've been in the business for years and they haven't let us down yet...footballers have bad games, teams have bad seasons, and in 20 years or groups have down times...but its all in the name of perfection...Rick as we know is a perfectionist...Karl is a unique artist, and together they make decent music, great art and bring together a lot of people...in one happy collective - which we know as Underworld...its more than just the music its an 'entity'...which we appreciate.

i don't really think any one of the people at any of the recent gigs was not jumping and dancing at some point, in the last month....even through the unknown improvs and 'new' tracks...its Underworld - we pay decent money to see them play and we totally enjoy it...

i've not yet experienced this 'next phase' of Underworld - (I will do on Friday) and whatever it brings i am so looking forward to it...

Karl you know we all love you and Rick...afterall we're dirty...because you are...

just keep up the good work and thanks for listening

It was an awesome gig. Hope the rumour about ILT is true, cos I will soooo be there. And another UK gig before christmas would be nice lads, cos I can't make Friday. (Just keep adding dates to the t-shirt ;) )

i'm feeling guilty now for saying that the Melt! gig wasn't that spectacular, but that's how it felt, not only for me, but also for the people around me that i asked afterwards. like i said, i've seen them before and i thought they were better, but i certainly appreciate the improvs and i can understand when things have to be tested first, too. looking at the HMH tracklist e.g., i'm sure it was an awesome gig.

Oh cool, it's nice to see that they want to take a more improvisational approach to live shows this time.

very nicely put, matt!
i hate do do this (in general i don't like "ack"-posts"), but : FULL ACK

personally, for me errors have to be part of live-gigs! for one it makes you realise that it's not just some dat-tape playing, and simply because errors are human!
at the recent gig i saw, they did an unclean mix to KoS: i realized it - and smiled, happy to hear that rick's really working his magic up there :D

btw:
