Has anyone got an updated Setlist? With maybe a few more of the unidentified tunes matching other live recordings?
:)

was this show intended to be a quasi-DJ set of UW and other tracks or was it suppossed to be an UW live show + Sven Vath intermissions? i still havent decided how i feel about all those intermittent tracks between UW's and it just seemed WAY too much. I really liked the set though, and its pretty great to listen to its just that i found myself losing interest in-between their original songs.

I thought it was a great idea and the selection of songs was really great. Its a club-thing and maybe its because you were there sitting in your chair in your room and not seeing it in the club?

Part 02 - Track 02 is "Biro the Leggy"

Nice work on that tracklist! Great to get the IDs of the UW intermezzoes and Sven's set!
Yeah, so nice to hear "Biro the Leggy" (minus the talk about buying a car, of course!)

I'm not quite sure what to think of it yet. Definitely it worked well in the club and it seems a logical result of combining their recent radioshows with the liveshow. On the other hand, it would be cooler if the intermissions between tracks were actual underworld jams rather than other people's tracks...

10-16-2006, 08:39 AM
i think they needed the other music. as much as a 4 hour jam would go down great with all on here i thought the idea was about working with other people on the scene, trying different stuff and not just doing an extra long underworld gig?
i thought sven and underworld played some great underground dance music and i would love to hear what they would do with some other djs or record labels.they were definately playing their own edits of some of the tracks but i can see if you are more of an underworld fan than a techno fan you might not have been aware of the work that was going on.

It was interesting to see Rick at his main board tweaking knobs on tracks that were obviously not UW things. Like they had the other artist's tracks loaded in their comps just like the original pieces, and were improvising as they go. I thought they were all new UW pieces, until I heard one of them in a Vath set that was posted on here last week (sexy techno at cocoon mixed by sven vath, about 55 mins in). Unless it IS a new track that Sven's been playing with. :)
SHAKE THAT HIGHER WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
And I only just realized they played tracks by other's in there. I didn't recognize anything of it :O :D

this one was the money shot for me. that was brutally good.
part 2 of sven's set was pretty good too. never was a fan of the baby kate track and the depeche mode was awful, but he played mouth to mouth! one of the top tracks of the year for me. misc was great too!

Hello.
Part 2 02 is Amerika by The Cooler Kings (Darren Price & Pete Heller), this then segues into Biro The Leggy. So Peggy Sussed would be track 04 and so on ...

you hit it right on, Stimp. Don't get me wrong, i loved the selection of songs and i think the club environment was perfect for that. uw has always been a hard band to 'dance' to especially at their shows, so this is a welcomed take i think.
ok, ive made up my mind. good stuff :D and big thanks for getting into my home office!

lol. just about every US show UW has done, has been pretty packed and rather hard to find room to dance to. in the US, UW plays venues rather than clubs and those places are just not right for dancing. and songs like cowgirl and jumbo arent exactly dancing songs now are they? but my point was that the music of this past show was much more dancable and faster maybe?
King of Snake
10-16-2006, 12:52 PM
i hear you about the packed venues. Usually all you can do is wiggle a bit and jump up and down in the same place. Cocoon was pretty packed although we had decent enough room to go mental at the front for most of the time :)

Thanks so far for this. Can't wait till Yannick posts the proper setlist though.
I didn't realise that they were playing other tracks inbetween their tunes...not sure if i like that idea or not but loved the Underworld stuff and yes Track 12 in Part 1 was amazing really wanna know what that was (even if it wasn't Underworld).
Just out of interest, I've seen the Sven Vath Part 1 tracks listed on a couple of sites but haven't actually heard it on any of the sources, so how did the tracklist appear for it?

A while ago, when the first three RiverRun projects came out, someone posted individual tracklistings with times that could be pasted into a text file and then used in an editing program to spit out cut up mp3s with the track names, at the appropriate times, etc.
One, does anyone have a detailed set list like that for Cocoon, and two, what was that program? (I hope I'm not imagining all of this.)
and songs like cowgirl and jumbo arent exactly dancing songs now are they?
You should have seen me dance like crazy to cowgirl :) .
About the crowdedness and the ability to dance; Even if they sold 200 fewer tickets, the situation near the front would not be any different, since everybody wants to be near the front. Therefore, I think that it's very hard to be near the front and dance, regardless of the capacity and the number people inside.

you're looking for a .cue file and it hasn't been compiled yet. if you'd like to have a go, by all means...
do a forum search for the RRP titles and you should come up with the post you're looking for.

Okay, so I found the threads I needed, but does anyone know of a good Mac equivalent to Foobar2000? And I'll definitely work on compiling a .cue file if I can get a program to start chopping.

The whole gig is available on the Internet (~ 4 hour recording of the audio part in crystal clear 160k) so that's why people started to put a tracklist together. I thought Underworld geeks knew this first. :D
hmm... I have a cuesheet here i made for my own .wav recording (which is, now, completely glitch-free after some edititing :D)
I could do one for the 160k version.

Yeah - fine if you are a big strapping fella! I may not be weak and feeble by any stretch of the imagination, but I still ended up being head-butted by some drunken German so hard on the back of my head that I have a whiplash injury now.
Still.
Wouldn't have changed a MINUTE of that gig for the world, random drunk-inflicted injuries or not :D

well certain hisses and pops you can just reduce the dB of them and so they still are there but just not 3 times as loud as everything else (that's at least what i do in cituations like this)
anyhow, is anyone nice enough to lead me to the place where one normally downloads this full 4 hour set?

I could repair all glitches in my recording with the help of that 160 kbps mp3. But Mmm... Skyscraper was unfixable. I decided to copy & paste some beats although i'm normally the guy who prefers flac/lossless version and hates any additional editing. :o
...Well it's good enough to be on my iRiver until someone makes a true lossless version. :)
