I've just got home (Witney, Oxon, UK) from the London passport office, so I am now in the hands of beaurocracy:confused: However, all the ppl at the office I came into contact with (security, receptionist, cashier, and the lady who processed my re-newal) were all very friendly - they doubtless get some stick from sum ppl, so big-up the real ppl who work there:)

I'll be there if the 4 things work ie new passport arrives, payment to cocoon goes thro in time, I book a room, and I book travel - easy peasy!!

I was really looking forward to meeting up with all you guys and girls, but thanks to my inertia (I've had 6 years to re-new my passport!!) and the European banking system (why can't money simply whizz down the wire??) I've resigned myself to not going (and this is after Sabine's (at Cocoon) very generous extension of the payment deadline) Can you believe it, but my bank needs my passport in order to confirm who I am, inspite of the fact that I have an account with them!!!

Oh well. Maybe the uk members (& others) of this forum could meet up sometime for a post-Cocoon get together?

Speaking of venues, a little Frankfurter told me that the Robert-Johnson Club is totally do-able by taxi if we are sharing (i.e quite cheap, 3 or 4 euros each, each way). And Friday 13th Oct is Kompact night, with Tobias Thomas and Michael Mayer. Whaddya reckon chaps and chapesses?

There seems to be a difference in tickets bought in pre-sale and through the 'we need extra tickets' action.
Pre-sale tickets: make sure you bring the confirmation mail with the code in it. That and an ID gets you your ticket.
Others: I'd print the mail with your payment confirmation and bring an ID. You lot seem to not have a booking code. Print all communication I'd say and bring it along.

The announcement page on uwlive says the broadcast is gonna start at 22.30 so i guess that's when the show starts.
