somewhere besides eastern europe (which is, to my understanding, the only place they've toured in a while), where would they go?

i mean, we can all put where we'd like them to go, but you can't really name your standard rock strongholds like philadelphia, detroit, atlanta, new york, etc. since their fan base seems to be more widespread, or in different areas. so where would they play??

Well they are making their way over that side of the pond this year, albeit South America. They have been playing some new venues (a lot in Europe, although certainly not just Eastern Europe) and I think this is an exciting way to approach a tour. But your guess is as good as mine ;)

Underworld are taking their sounds to countries where they havent been before and thats got to be a good thing. In the last 10 years theyve played over 30 gigs in North America and I guess its time to break new ground. I'm sure Underworld will tour the USA eventually. They haven't even toured the UK and thats where they live. Theyve only played one UK gig with an awful soundsystem at an overpriced festival last year.

If you want to see where they are likely to play in the USA, then take a look at the past tour list (http://www.dirty.org/underworld/tour-complete.php).

Yup. God bless Global Gathering for ripping us off with expensive essentials like food and then forgetting about the music.

Or Hawaii. They definitely need to play Hawaii.

In the middle of Djemaa al Fna (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Panoramic_Marakesh_square_Djemaa_el_Fna.jpg) . ;)

Of course, getting the permits for such a thing would probably be very difficult, if not impossible. BUT, Led Zeppelin did it...

i don't wanna beat down on anyone...

but this kind of thread is always gonna just get people saying that they want UW to play in the town that's closest to them... you might as well read everyone's location and assume that's where we'd like UW to play...

ideally i'd like UW to play the UK again, and i mean a proper tour, travelling to a one off festival in the middle of the countryside to see them last year wasn't the best, but the only real option i had...

yeah if i had a request they could play Brighton, we have the venues here, but travelling 50 miles north is no biggy for me, unlike those of you in the middle States who have to travel miles just to get near them....

but seriously, as has been pointed out already, they are spreading themselves about, and in reality a full blown tour is expensive, the kinda gigs they are doing at the moment are still 'festival' type gigs... its not what i'd class as a tour, just a bunch of dates, often supported by other big artists...

A full blown tour of say, the US, where i don't believe their support is as strong as it used to be and as strong as other genres around now, would perhaps be hard to maintain at the present moment in time...

i think we might have to wait until at least the arrival of the next studio album before we have what we can call a tour, and i think the usual suspects will get to see them, (a couple of dates in the UK, Japan, Aus, Europe, and perhaps the North Americas)

but feel free to carry on posting suggestions here, who knows, the fact that two people out of a population of 270m say come to my town in the US might persuade them to visit... im sure they are taking notes ;)

I don't advise UW come to North Dakota anytime soon... There is a quaint beauty to it (that only took me 5 years to realize) but it's a terribly boring place. Granted, if UW came here it would be MUCH more exciting. I currently "live" in ND, but I think UW should come to Minniapolis. That would be schweet. Plus, I'll be in Chicago in about a year... I know they've been there. :)
