any idea who directs 007 22? or any word of the plot?
i just hope campbell succeeds with casino royale. cos it's not craig that i'm really worrying about, it's the drector that will make or break the movie
and if anything, daniel craig just makes this interesting

Risico is currently hot favorite as the film title (based on an unused Fleming title), though theses things notoriously change. (As long as it never becomes something like Casino Royale 2: Living on the Edge, I'm not too bothered). Reports say the story will be based on an original idea from producer Michael Wilson, which will be his first stab at writing Bond since the Dalton/Moore era.
Roger Mitchell (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0585011/) (Changine Lanes, Notting Hill) is currently in negotiations to direct. (Mitchell also previously worked with Craig in Enduring Love.)
And all those at craignotbond.com can start as many fires* as they want, Craig IS Bond. :)

Well fuck me, I didn't realize that was Craig in Enduring Love. Such a great, twisted film.

You mean for Bond 21 presumably?
Btw, scratch that about Roger Mitchell directing Bond 22. Variety now reports that negotiations with him have fallen through due to 'creative differences.'
Tarantino can carry on writing his begging letters...

James Bond's first "007" mission leads him to Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), banker to the world's terrorists. In order to stop him, and bring down the terrorist network, Bond must beat Le Chiffre in a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale. Bond is initially annoyed when a beautiful British Treasury official, Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), is assigned to deliver his stake for the game and watch over the government's money. But, as Bond and Vesper survive a series of lethal attacks by Le Chiffre and his henchmen, a mutual attraction develops leading them both into further danger and events that will shape Bond's life forever.
oh jesus.
i'm not seeing this.

Anyone else conjure up the image of a dead dolphin being flogged endlessly with each subsequent BOND film that is announced?
(I'd have a different opinion of the film and everything about it if Clive Owen were James Bond though.)

I read yesterday that the femme fatal, Vesper Lynd is set to appear in Bond 22, to kinda explain away why she betrayed Bond in Bond 21, Casino Royale...
22 is not a sequel apparently but she (the actress, Eva Green) has been signed up for the next movie...
And this links into this synopsis from imdb...
'Continuing on from the events of Casino Royale, James Bond must find who the mysterious Mr. White was really working for'.
So, not a sequel - but more likely to reference properly a previous movie, which is interesting nonetheless... this is a perhaps a good way to take Bond, after all would he never ever mention previous missions...? (they tried to ref the previous movies with visuals (gadgets) in the last Bond, number 20, which was a nice touch, but) to directly refer to events elsewhere is a good change in my humble opinion...
