The point is what tracks will be on this release. I picked some of my favourites here:

JAL To Tokyo
Back In The Fears
Mowed Path
Peggy Sussed
Ancient Phat Farm Coat

Would you mind to add some of your favourites RiverRun pieces to this list here?
Feel free to drop from this list some songs as well.

Here is the info of the release:

RiverRun 3 will be followed on 10 July 2006 with a retrospective look at the first 3 Riverrun releases (Dubbed the Misterons Mix) which will be free to download to all who have bought the first 3 Riverrun releases. At 30 minutes, the Misterons Mix will include a digital gallery of photographs and CD artwork.

(info taken from here): http://evibes.info/2006/05/16/underworld-downloads-the-misterons-mix/

Oh, I'd like to add Lenny Penne. It might be my favorite of the bunch today. :)

I guess if we have to drop one off of LBT to compensate, I'd say drop Peggy Sussed. Yes, I like that track too but not as much as JAL or LP.

And from I'm a Big Sister... it's hard to choose. I really find that one complete as a whole project. I'd probably be happy with any of those tracks though I think Mowed Path is my fave also.

i think your list is a good prediction of what might be on it.
Alternatively, i wonder if this mix will include shorter snippets of more tracks or perhaps some remixed versions? Either way, it's free for many of us and i'm def. looking forward to it!

p.s. the word was that "Sister" might not be the final downloadable release, right? Just as speculation, maybe Misterons is a retrospective of the styles explored in LBT, P4E and Sister, and possible future releases will be drastically different genres? (though one could argue that these releases have been quite varied!)

wouldn't it be pointless to have the mysterons mix be a collection of tracks taken directly from the riverruns since you only get it when you have bought all three riverruns already?

Maybe, but it is free, so who's complaining? Personally, i don't care if it's just re-edited/remixed versions of the tracks we've already got, because as i said above, the releases thus far have already been so varied and of unique styles, that i think it would be fun to see how they get mixed together...essentially whittling 80+ minutes down to 30. Seems like a challenge!

Anyway, we really don't know the format. It's just that the world "retrospective" doesn't scream "New material" to me.

I get the impression its gonna be a mix of all the mixes previously available on 12" white label such as the Heller/Woolford/Pig&Dan/Robag Wruhme mixes... that would make more sense.

Now I know I am being Mrs Pedantic here, but I am sure this is supposed to be Mysterons (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/anderson/scarlet/mysterons.shtml)

Karl is not that much older than I am and I imagine Captain Scarlet might have been a seminal series of his youth too. :)

Pedantic maybe, but still wrong.

The mix is called the Misterons mix as stated in the press release here on dirty.org (http://www.dirty.org/underworld/news.php)

"This release will be followed on July 10th with a retrospective look at the first 3 Riverrun releases – dubbed the Misterons Mix – which will be free to download to all who have bought the first 3 Riverrun releases. At around 30 minutes, the Misterons Mix will include a digital gallery of photographs and CD artwork."

Is it just me, or is the sound rather distorted in the wrong way? At first I thought I'd blown a mid-range, but no.

I've downloaded again using firefox, but it's the same.

Very nice. Looks like the included slideshow is a slideshow proper of the video slideshow from I'm a Big Sister...

Sounds like there's a surprise for us at 16:02. Is it Pig & Dan Remix 1?

Here's what I have for a track listing:

"Peach Tree"
"Vanilla Monkey"
"Lenny Penne"
"Billy Goat"
"Back In The Fears"
"Play Pig (??? Remix)"
"Food A Ready"

I really like that Peach Tree -> Vanilla Monkey -> Lenny Penne mix.

I'd have to agree, except I think it loses steam about halfway through Billy Goat. So, I think the first 1/3 is fantastic.
It's rather Pizza-for-Eggs-heavy, isn't it?

Any thoughts on when we'll get Riverrun Project tracks 3-4? :)

ooh, I'm lovin' this rendition of Vanilla Monkey, and it flows so nicely into Lenny Penne :)

Very nice little treat so far (first listen through). Thanks guys!

update: the whole thing is lovely, but the remix sticks out like a sore thumb. maybe 'cause my ears haven't gotten used to it yet -- it's the only new track in the bunch, after all.

This is quite nicely mixed...great to hear the tracks in a different order and with neat new transitions. i was making a cue sheet, then thought, forget it...this has to stay in one piece!

The Pig & Dan remix of Play Pig...it's fun! Less analog/blips and bloops than the other mix or their original stuff.

Also, what a treat to get yet more photos! Thanks UW!

p.s.: who mixed this? Steve Hall? R&K? Mister Ron?

I just got it, just listened to it, and I tend to agree - but I will be burning a disc for "the library" and I'd rather have the tagged breaks there in case I want to skip through it (I haven't bothered breaking ANY of the MP3s down on my iPod...).

Does that image at the top look familiar? Interesting that it would come back, 5 years later.

Lots of other interesting information on there. I didn't realize Vocoder Monks was so old.

Anyone have "204001"? Or any of the QuickTime moves? :)

Way to revive the thread, theBang! very cool archived stuff!

I imagine at this point, Tomato/UW have their own stock libraries of just about any image and words they want... very interesting to see the dalmation out of storage after so many years! Same with "vocoder bells".

i also would be interested in hearing the numbered mp3 files (think i have 010101 somewhere, but not the others.) Anyone still have these?

TheBang

Well, according to Matt's site (http://www.bigscreensatellite.co.uk/tracklistings.htm), 010101 is Bit of Rope, and 110501 is Quick Bit for Web, both of which were readily available on underworldlive.com 2.0 through 2007. Not sure about 204001 though.
