Are there any scans of the tracklist that comes with the Tokyo CDs? Could someone please post it?

Thanks.

CD3
king of snake
pearls girl

The tracklisting on UWlive seems to differ slightly from what's on the actual CD (moaner's not listed, and there's 'movie' instead of 'simple distinctive'). I just got a tracklisting by getting my cd player program to talk to the CDDB.

CDDB is all user-contributions, so that's worthless as far as the "authoritative" tracklisting goes.

-1's Wikipedia article is pretty good for the tracklisting.

The only differences I have in my own tagging (because I'm really anal) that differ from that are:

1. Dinner at Rods/JAL To Tokyo

2. Born Slippy .NUXX 2003
4. Aquafunk/Flatz

can't remember for sure which track it is is right now, but one of the songs has a tiny bit of the Cups cut-up vocal right before it, but it ends pretty quickly.

:p

Here comes the anal retentiveness again. There's another track at the end of Back in the Fears. Back in the Fears ends at about 7:00, and there's another 4 minutes of another song. Unfortunately, we don't have a name for it. It's the same song that was played between Juanita and Pearls Girl at the Heineken Music Hall gig. And then, Dub Shepherd is played after that (and before King of Snake), but it seems to be trimmed out by the disc break.

if you're going to start dating songs,
why not pearls girl 06, or mmm skyscraper 06,
or mo move 06?

where do you draw the line,..., i think
you can leave some tracks with just their
known name, otherwise you'll have too many
versions of each song..

I think Dirty0900 was being facetious (albeit technically correct).

Obviously, Born Slippy NUXX would be the only one done like that, as it had an actual release as 2003.

Born Slippy .NUXX 2003 is the title, not 96. Until they rejig it again and remove alter the extra piano that helps us identify it it will be called 2003 im sure. i've not paid that much attention to the tracklisting because theyre already trackmarked on the CD and i listen as one anyway. still, nice to know you boys are being anally retentive enough to get it right. i'll probably do the same when i get back to NL.

yeah they are being totally AR... even i'm not that bad...

Basically the track in question is simply known as 'Born Slippy NUXX' (i.e. the vocal version), whether it has the 2003 mix piano or not on it makes no difference really, because when its played live like almost all the tracks played live it has elements of other mixes, versions, and lyrics within it... you seriously could go on and name tracks like this: 'King of Snake with some Moaner lyrics, and a sample of Mmm Skyscaper '05' Darren Price Remix Version 2' - its just tooooo anal...

Each to their own at home on their own mp3 players, but i think for points of reference (i.e. on the wiki, internet,) tracks should be labelled as they are known, Born Slippy NUXX, or as they appear on officially released materials or sources. I've never been keen on fan labelling of unknown tracks either...

'interlude 1' or 'unknown track 1' is fine, but trying to name a track based upon the sound of the lyrics or some other variation just lends to further confusion....

not every new bit of music is a new track, when a guitar band comes on to play live and the bassist strumms his strings a few times before the first song starts, fans don't think 'ohh' that three second interlude is a new song, and neither should we... alot of these interludes are just snippets of sounds and don't always require an explanation or name... (i know UW do produce music to fill space, but to me, unless its officially named, just leave it as unknown)

just my 2x$...

keep up the good anal work though....
