So, based on the pile of bootlegs i have and the tour archives, looks like "Born Slippy.NUXX" has been played virtually every show since at least 98, and perhaps earlier. No complaints, though! It's awesome in any set!

Other than NUXX, what are the somgs that always get played? Sure there are exceptions, but i'd guess that 90% of the shows feature:

Pearl's Girl
Cowgirl or Rez or combo

Last tour the set was pretty fixed, so i'm not counting TMO or Moaner (encore) yet, since they've not settled on a setlist for this tour. in the past, seems like these tracks get the most play. Any others?

Jumbo makes an appearance in most shows.

Push Upstairs, King of Snake, Jumbo. Probably they'll be playing the drum 'n bass song a lot in the new shows as well.

it'd be easier to come out with the popular tracks that they don't really play often....spikee, luetin, tin there...

but most sets do look familiar...BS Nuxx for sure...Moaner became popular, although i see it was missing from Yesterday's set!!!

Instrumentals like Kittens or Rowla do tend to make appearences in the banging sets and Mmm Skyscraper used to be very popular, but i suppose its what mood they are in or what type of crowd is being played to...there is only limited amount of time 90-120 minutes...and so a lot of tracks do get left out - especially if they play juanita, kiteless to dream of love!!!

for just one moment we thought kittens would be played..

Well, at some point it seemed (to me, at least) like their live shows were settling into a predictable mold - you'd usually hear all the Beaucoup Fish singles except for "Bruce Lee," then "Born Slippy NUXX," "Pearls Girl" and maybe "Juanita" sometimes, and only "Rez/Cowgirl" from the early days. Add the two singles from A Hundred Days Off when they were touring that album (though "Two Months Off" is apparently becoming a fixture now, not surprisingly).

But looking at the setlists for the new shows, it seems they've brought back "Dark Train" and "Dark & Long," which is awesome. "Trim" is also showing up these days, interestingly enough (they played it at Maida Vale and now again in Prague).

Yes, reason i started this thread was to guage reaction to those "standard" tracks. Has anyone ever done the stats of what songs get played most/least? Of course, tons of tracks never get played, but i'd be interested to see whether, say, "Jumbo" got played more than "Pearls Girl". Or, if you go to a show, do you stand a better chance of hearing "Cowgirl" or "king of Snake"?

Then again, it's good to be surprised!

sorry to be a bit OT, but my "explanation" to the recent surge of "non-standard" tracks is simply, that rick has to teach pricey all songs (this "teaching" is also quite obvious on the pictures of the tour)! as rick's a perfectionist he'll not settle by simply showing a few tracks/mixes.
which naturally has nice benefits for us hardcore-fans :D

Not sure if it's of any help, but I made a list -> http://hjem.get2net.dk/mcdo/uwd.txt a few years ago. It's a list of all the gigs that we have recordings of (or knew of at that time), but spanning only from 1994 to 2002. It gives you an idea of what they tend to play. The links don't work any more, btw... :)

wow, that's great! Really gives a good overview of what tracks are most played. Are you gonna update it with more recent dates as well?

i think we know who (cough matval) will update it and hopefully throw lots of stats like most common per year and all sorts of stuff like that!

but it looks in a quick glance that cowgirl is at the top (likely just cause of the earlier years?)

Yeah, I might update it when dirty returns with the new design and, hopefully, all the playlists.

In my opinion they need to re think the set for the next tour i can't understand why they no longer play Juanita live its such a powerful track live, also i hope they ditch a lot of the downtempo stuff and replace it with some classics from dubnobass album like spoonman and surfboy(a great track to impro and jam with i think you can take that places) I can't really say anything else as i have no idea what the new album will sound like so i will need to just wait and see. But i will say one thing please add the visuals again :D it does boost the live performance.

hey i'm not live 'gig' nerdy like that ;)

i'll do a job on comercially released and promo stuff but gigs and gigographies....

well.... i think that there is so much missing from the early years that people just don't know or remember what was played and without a recording...well its nigh on impossible to guage what was played....i mean i went to see UW a few times in 93 & 94, but couldn't tell you the tracks played...although i could hazard a guess.. ;)

if someone who has all the recordings wants to go through them feel free...its no job for me ;)

i'm not as bothered about live recordings as other things...because they sorta don't exist unless you 'lived it' yourself, imo...

i love ECG and some of the live sets, but am not fussed if i don't own them all...

but keep a look out for the annual UW best of poll at the end of the year....I will poll you on your fav tracks and gigs...

Live stats, please!

Now i'm wondering about which is more often the case: Rez/Cowgirl or Cowgirl/Rez:p And also, how many times did "KoS" include the old version (from UWLive), pushing the track into the 13-15 minute range? :D
