Two hours monday night. Intense!

I'll try to avoid spoilers, but if you're really far behind, maybe you don't want to read ahead.

They kind of threw a twist last episode with Bierko's last push. I predict that President Logan will die somehow, I don't see how they could have him survive. We'll see how they solve the whole recording issue, too. I'm sure there'll be more surprises.

I've really only seen seasons 2 and 4, which I think were awesome. This season has been good, but I don't think anything can top the terrorist plot of season 4. Anything seems a little disappointing after that convoluted affair. Who knows how they're going to end it now, after faking Jack's death last season. I keep having to think back and remember all the major characters they've killed off this season (poor Edgar). The fate of Evelyn and her daughter I think was implied, but never shown. There's more seasons in the works, so who knows what they're going to plan next.

You need to have willing suspension of disbelief about the passage of time for this show (And please, no one say anything like, "How come they don't show anyone ever goign to the bathroom?" It's because that's not entertaining television, dumbass.) But there have been a few instances where I felt things should have taken a bit longer than they did.

Anyways. Intense!

i recently read "The Devil on my Doorstep," a novel based on the Rockford Files, and it actually included a brief mention of Jim going to the bathroom. i think the writer was probably winking to the foolish "tv characters never have to go to the bathroom" complainers. it didn't make for interesting reading, but the rest of the book was extremely entertaining.

as for the 24 finale, i thought it was pretty cool. pretty satisfying overall, and sets things up well for next season i suppose.

But there have been a few instances where I felt things should have taken a bit longer than they did.

you mean like the sexual liaison last night? :D

spoilers

and the ship leaving LA harbor and making it to open seas in... 7 minutes?

and dude... all it takes is one one of the four screens when they come back from commercial showing someone leaving the restroom or finishing a coke... just once... how un-entertaining is that?

Oh! Zing!

That was quite a twist at the end, and a complete setup for next season. I thought it was a great finale.

Well, Chloe did go to the bathroom once. But that was only to cover up that fact that she hacked in to the computer to the reroute the satelites that were tracking Jack so he could escape.

I just feel very unentertained when people complain about the show being unrealistic. I agree there are many inconsistenices, both very large and small, on the show. One can choose to sit and be the no-fun police and point them all out, or one can enjoy the fast-paced action and plot. Pick any tv show or movie and you can find things to complain about, though I suppose 24 singles itself out because of its premise. I think they've taken a lot more liberties recently and you make a good point about trying just a little harder. But I'm not going to stop watching or stop being entertained. (Though I will not be entertained again until January 2007.)

i agree 100%. there's plenty of stuff that someone could complain about as far as the plot holes and thing go, but i think that the show is too much damn fun to do that sort of thing :D

maybe someone can point out that nobody ever sleeps on the show ;)

Watched on a week-by-week basis is what this show is meant for; to see how the next moments unravel while waiting a week in-between. Watching them all at once you see the things people complain about but, hell, I enjoy it. Watching Bauer get angry when he's interrogating someone is awesome, even his girl got the royal treatment.

The show always leaves cliffhangers but even when no bullets are flying on the screen, there is some tenseness going on and I love that.

As for the finale...what are the chinese going to do? Use him to do their dirty work? Are the multinational conspirators gonna break him out and try to use him?

one thing to look for...the character playing Audrey won't be back next season except for a limited role at the most. Perhaps she gets killed? She is working on another show now.

Can't wait. And tomorrow is the LOST season finale so I will be tuned into that for sure.
