I live in the US, and it asks you for pounds...how do I pay with dollars, if possible?

It will charge you in dollars (on your bank account). You just pay by credit card. What happens when you take your USA credit card to the EU and buy stuff with it? Your card gets charged in Euros and your credit card issuer (or bank) makes the conversion for you. In this case you get charged £5 and your bank does the conversion.

$17.50 more or less. less than $20. Probably around $18 taking into consideration tourist rates.

A useful trick:

go to google and type in "xGBP in USD", or any other currencies, (you can use the symbols as well) and it will give you the current exchange rate.
