ok - so after seeing Ally list Daft Punk amongst the performers at a music festival...

I got kind of curious as to if there was like, a proper tour coming up. Especially if there was only going to be one performance of theirs here in the US (Coachella)

...but of course - their website has absolutely no information whatsoever like usual. So, I searched for an unofficial/fan webpage, only to discover these two releases:

Human After All: Remixes (Rmxs) [Import]
MUSIQUE VOL. I 1993 - 2005

...and like usual - I can't find any information about either release (such as tracklistings, etc)

and on top of that - one page mentions a "Human 2006 World Tour", but no dates scheduled whatsoever

...so does anyone have any info on any of the three aforementioned things and why the F*ck does daft punk still not have a proper webpage?

They've been tipped and tipped and tipped to play the Slam Tent at T In The park this year but someone at Soma has let it slip that they're "definitely not". That said, someone at Soma told me Underworld were playing The Arches early this year too...

I read in Mixmag last Summer that DP had hung up their umm, sequencers and that for good. No more live appearances. EVER. And then I found out that a mate of mine was actually at the Alive 1997 show. Bitch.

right - that's why I am freaking out about this "2006 Human Tour" and the only confirmed show (as far as I know) is at the Coachella Music Festival... which I can't go to

(edit)
and I found the two 'unreleased' vid's online... I can see why 'Prime Time of Your Life' never got released. The climax of the movie is a little girl taking a razor (starting with her wrists/hands) and using it to remove her skin (a la Robbie William's "Rock DJ") except ... she stares at her face for a few seconds, then collapses to the floor (as if she's killed herself) and is discovered by her parents. The Robot Rock Max Overdrive vid, that one's actually pretty cool. Like a tweaked b+w version of the original video, and the song was edited down a bit too

I think I'll pick this up when it's released. Mainly for the vids but those remixes and 'Musique' on CD will do nicely too. Musique is the shit!

daft punk live closing the glastonbury dance tent in muddy 1997 was one of my fav ever gigs, even the nutter who climbed the tent supports and delayed the set couldn't spoil it.

daft punk live closing the glastonbury dance tent in muddy 1997 was one of my fav ever gigs, even the nutter who climbed the tent supports and delayed the set couldn't spoil it.i was in the dance tent the night before watching Primal Scream (and avoiding Radiohead) so I went to the Acoustic tent to see the Beth Orton followed by the Bootleg Beatles who were top notch! The Dance tent for the scream was chaos so i didnt want to do it again, and it was a real pain walking around with several kilos of mud stuck to my boots...

the tent was rammed for the scream, could hardly get in, so hung around outside listening to bobby's terrible singing while necking the last of a bottle of southern comfort:eek: i felt :( :( the next day

When Daft Punk performs, do they still put up shows like the Alive 1997 show??

I was absolutely smashed. First I got drunk then staggered over to the dance tent as the sun was goin down. These 6 scousers were all skinning up and I was the only one with a lighter :D I gave them the light they needed to see what they were doing then offered them all lights. In return these joints were windmilling round and as the scream came on, I had to hold onto the poles of the tent to stand up :p Ace gig but youre right, Bobby's voice was a bit fucked. Throb was on top form tho and I wanted to check out Mani on bass as it was his first tour since leaving the Stone Roses.
