I saw the last half of it by chance yesterday on TV, and it reveals a bit more of what's going on. So far, I'm only mildly interested in it. I should warm up to it closer to the release date.

Looks like it'll be a good one...the only real disappointing thing I saw was a very miniature Juggernaut but, I'll give Vinnie a chance on this one ;)

Woo, Juggernaut busting thru walls chasing Shadowcat phasing thru walls.
I thought the second one was totally bleah, so, yeah, I'm not expecting much. Nightcrawler was well done. I thought the story itself was boring. It bugged that they made a superhero movie in which the main villain was an ordinary human. With all the years of great characters to choose from, they chose a soldier who hates mutants. Yay.
Also, characters as two-dimensional as Pyro's are frustrating. I hate this trend in mainstream movies that if a character is going to be evil or whatever they have to broadcast that to you every second of screentime they get. Things are much more interesting when virtuous characters do bad things, or amoral characters do something noble, but we can't have that. It's like, "No! He's evil! If we make him likeable and then he betrays his friends people will be upset!"
(I know. Two-dimensional <---> comic book.)
To me, the series has been the very image of mediocrity, with slightly better special effects.

Finally viewed the trailer. Coupled with my low expectations, simply having the name BRETT FUCKING RATNER under the title of director just made me care even less.
Not a bad trailer, but then trailers are kind of like fast food in a sense, at least trailers for films like these. Show the flash, give you a quip/entire overview of what to expect from the meal/film, end on a cliff note, er, high note of tension. The only downside is that after completing the meal you feel bloated and kind of sick and want to go lay down for a while.
I know RATNER isn't to blame, but I have very little positive to say about him. From what I gathered via tidbits at other sites, this is going to wrap up the X-men franchise so to speak? Can anyone else clarify or elaborate on this bit of information, or is is purely speculative gossip created by angry, rabbid fans?

These things never die.
X-Men Begins 5.29.15
I wish there was another villian besides Magneto. How about Mr. Sinister?
