so we've finally arrived in london. brian and i have spent the day wandering around all the tourist attractions to get them out of the way. tonight is the show...i'm hoping to see some of you there. janie...we will be there from about 5ish on. i recon the first dj will go on around 9 or so. i'll try to call you here in a little bit. we are in a little internet cafe in covent garden--found some good coffee and a break from the rain.
we've taken lots of pictures and i will post a link to a slide show as we get it working.
we'll see you dirts on friday...tomorrow is travel to stimpeeland to see all the netherland dirts.

Well, Marshall Watson's Debut London Performance went very very nicely indeed. Too tired for details right now - it's 2.45am here - but a good, solid set, nicely preformed and well received. Smallish venue and Tuesday night meant a smallish crowd too, but lots of enthusiasm and applause. Will edit this later with the set list (if I can read Shane's writing ;) )

Just got back from the mini-meeting in Holland, Dirties present: Professor, Biz, LLoyd, Stimpee, King of Snake, Leon, Numbpie, and me.
Great guys, absolutely fantastic to meet Professor (been looking forward for a long time :) )and Biz, and to meet the others again :)

had a great night. was a great view from the top of the hotel (if a little pricey). enjoyed the night tho and good to see you all. thanks for coming! stopped off at a snack bar for some fries+mayo on the way home too which seemed to sort the guys out food-wise.
but overall for me its been a great whirlwind of a few days here.

Yeah it was fun! Great to meet you all. Had a good chat about music with Brian. The view out of the hotel was great (and the color-changing beam on the other building was cool).
On Central Station Utrecht I ate a bacon and egg sandwich, really nice.
Taking the train from Utrecht to Amsterdam at midnight was weird though, when we were close to Amsterdam Central, we made an abrubt stop and all the lights went out :confused: Then the lights went back on and we drove further. But that small interruption made me fucking miss my train of 0:36h to Purmerend :mad: So I had to wait for the 1:09h bus to go to my city, and from the busstation there I had to make a 10-minute walk to the trainstation where I still had my bike parked. Finally got home.
And when I was home, I discovered my parents had saved a plate of SPAGHETTI for me! That was the best thing ever.

yeah it was great fun! Sorry for being a bit zombie-like, i hadn't slept properly in a long time so i wasn't feeling well at all. Did get some sleep this night though and i'm just about getting ready to leave for the airport for the london meet :)

Ugh. we got about 4 hrs sleep before we had to get up again for the aiport. Anyway, it was great fun and I just went back to bed when I got back from the train station. Feels like a different day already!
no plates of spaghetti for me here. place feels a bit empty too.

where am i? did leon spike my drink? is michele here yet? was marlou really that sweet? stimpee, did you kiss me on the cheek when we boarded the train? i'm so confused. the pavement is at least 18 inches below my sneakers.
i had a fantastic time meeting everyone and will remember this trip always. unless this cookie of stimpee's lasts much longer.

yeah!! what a time! it was so nice to meet all the dutchies...utrecht is such an amazing city. i really didn't want to leave. stimpee was kind enough to walk us to the train station, and we did, indeed find out way back to london. now, we are at the free internet coffee shop on our way to get our stuff and check into the hostel. much fun awaits tonight.
thanks to janie for making a HUGE effort to see the show...it is much appreciated.

hmm...so apparantly, 13:30 is actually 1:30 and no 10:30. whoops. now we get the full tour of heathrow...minus a good internet connection. for some reason my laptop wont connect with the hotspot, so i'm in a cafe. very long day ahead of us. we had the best time ever. possibly the best week of our lives, as discussed last night over the cd bounty recap.
hope you had a perfect flight at aleast after all that waiting!

back in brooklyn. ripping the huge stack of cd's we bought on berwick and at smallfish. any cats in london need to check out the Foundry in shoreditch. great vibes on a sunday afternoon and cool art exhibits.
