ok, as suggested by master Stimpee...i've decided to put the top 5 most popular song titles suggested in the Annual UW poll into one final vote off to see what we think is the best name for an Underworld single...

well yes - its one in the same, theone you like best is the one you think sounds like a uw track i suppose....looks like library weather to me

Yeah, that was funny. But can you imagine if that was really the title? Inside-jokes and usual-crypticness aside, it reminds me of "what up, dog?" by Was (Not Was) from 1988. Blechy! That was a usual suspect in the discount cassette bins of my youth!

Yeah, that's what I voted for both times. Like I said before, it sounds like the sort of visual/conversational fragment that Karl seems to pick up and use as a lyric or title. I really like it. Who came up with it?

I think I might be using these 5 entries as names for as yet untitled Underworld tracks that pop up on bootlegs. It certainly beats naming them Untitled #1 to Untitled #5.

That'd be nice! These are just as valid/random as some of the live tracknames like "Small Conker and a Twix" or "Moroccan Meatball"! :rolleyes: :p

I like that idea. Can I propose 'Paper Dream' for the simple melody before Pearl's Girl at HMH? It's track 3. (It's also in the Zurich gig, track 5 before Kittens.)

:)Paper Dream seems more like an ambient title to me, so I'll take a listen and find something suitable for it. The first tracks at both HMH and Zurich need titles and then theres the Jumbo Improv from Osaka. but we have quite a lot of untitled jams and improvs from the 2005 tour that I think it makes sense. Nice to do something with the titles after all this effort.
