I'd like to know if Karl has read any Victor Pelevin, modern Russian writer. A real kindred spirit I'd have thought. Mystic humourist genius. Can especially recommend his novel Clay Machine Gun. Also Life of Insects and a book of short stories The Blue Lantern.
Like to say that as one of the key musical joys of my life, it's great to see Underworld really striking out in exciting new directions particularly with the Pizza for Eggs release.

they do visit and keep track of what's going on on the forums, but they don't post directly. From time to time, Karl will respond to a question via the diary on underworldlive.com and when they do their streaming radio sessions, they often answer questions from the chatrooms.

THanks for the info. I've seen Karl mention books he's read elsewhere which is why I brought it up.

does anyone remember how there was someone who posted here with some very cryptic messages, which kinda lead to a theory that it was karl?

I want to say this was around the post- EE / pre AHDO period

I think his name was like cryingfish or something to that effect

Yer it was someone called cryginfish, cant remember what he posted bu it was something that is similar to what Karl posts. The first clear time we really had communication from UW was during the early days of UWlive and there was a thread about how many times people had seen UW live. After a few days of the thread one download on UWlive had a message above it saying something like "i've seen uw live the most".

the message on the uwlive page was "I've been to every Underworld Gig"

I saved it as a part of the mp3 - for a time, I thought it was supposed to be like the alternate name for the track
