oh jens you're so silent jens lekman

lovely, quirky indie-pop from sweden that contains some great use of samples and has drawn comparisons with belle & sebastien, morrisey & stephen merrit. check out his website (http://www.jenslekman.com/) for more info and you can even download some of his songs for free here (http://www.secretlycanadian.com/jenslekman/dept.htm) (and it’s all official) – be sure to check out the wonderful pocketful of money while you’re threre :)

inside in inside out the kooks

another group of hyped up kids that whilst aren’t exactly groundbreaking have written an album that includes some great songs that mixes 80s ska with jangly guitars and has a sense of humour that reminds me of early supergrass. their website (http://www.thekooks.co.uk/) has some audio tracks to listen to as well as a couple of free tracks to download. check ‘em out :)

and Lekman was released last year, but it is truly awesome. much better than his debut, this one has this lo-fi feeling attached and lots of tongue.in.cheek humour.

f-word, f-word, pardon my french.....

I got:

Kooks - Inside in/Inside Out, good stuff and i've been a fan since i saw them support the thrills about a year and a bit ago.though th album version of eddies gun is rubbish to the single version.

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people.... - good, but i do think its a little overhyped like!

be your own PET - Lets get sandy - 56 seconds of rowdy drums and edgey vocals. lovely.

Plan B - Kidz - Been told it was a promo only 7", some really bad lyrics in terms of what hes rapping but i really like it.

The Jam - Snap!

Yeah, it's a re-issue, but this is my favourite album of all time ever, and they're re-issuing it with ALL the tracks (the previous CD - Compact Snap! - omits four or five tracks) and it's gonna be on a double CD, and i'm gonna buy it and it's gonna be ace and hopefully everyone will like the Jam more cos they are the most underrated band of all time ever!

I can't believe it's taken this fucking long for Paul Weller to get the Outstanding Contribution Brit award...

And coming up soon, a new album from Aphex Twin!

http://www.nme.com/news/aphex-twin/22047

But the article says that this is just a collection of his Analord tracks, so everybody here has probably heard them already.
