downstairs is obvious choice for me...

now i feel the last couple of votes are gonna be very hard unless some of my faves go early...

this is by far the toughest vote for me...

downstairs was a total bizzare choice to put on the album.Should have been a b-side/remix and Please Help Me should have replaced it, thus making it a stronger album.

A lot of negativity about Winjer. How can you possibly hate that track :confused: Really, I find it hard to dislike it :p

Anyway, yes I do understand why they put Push Downstairs on the album. As Underworld really cares about putting together an actual "album", in which they try to mix high energy songs with low energy songs. Though, Push Downstairs is in my opinion, not so strong and thus gets my vote.

Skym has to go. I don't like that looped vocal sample near the end (I...I...I...). IMO it destroys the whole song!
But Push Downstairs is great... if you're in the right mood.:cool:

edit: Do you think BF is just a collection of singles? I heard this some time ago and i'm unsure about my opinion...

i think that skym and winjer make a great section to slow down, so maybe i shouldn'tve voted for winjer. but i don't particularly dislike push downstairs... but now that i think about it, it's weaker than the rest.

ahem, Bruce Lee? Underworld's worst single, and in my opinion one of their worst tracks. I like Push Downstairs and can put up with Winjer/Skym for a round or two, but Bruce Lee has got to go.

btw, what are those lyrics during the whole song? To me it sounds like 'stay miserable', with the 'miserable' pronounced really fast.

Ah, "Winjer" isn't so bad. It's one of the better vocal performances on the album. Now "Skym," that's pretty awful. This particular set of votes isn't going to be too difficult for me, as I don't really madly love any of the songs on it except for maybe "Cups."

Maybe "Push Downstairs" seems like an easy first cut because it's more than not a retake on the superior "Push Upstairs". it would've worked better on the Push EP..."please help me" is just as moody and lush, so exchanging these tracks would still give everyone a breather after Kittens, if that was an intent of having PD there.

I love Downstairs for all it's worth, one of my favs, but it just does not belong on the album. Whoever said Please Help Me should be there and Downstairs as a B-Side, right on.

And Winjer is great!

My thoughts exactly. It boggles my mind as to why Downstairs was included. PHM is a far better track. Needless to say this round is a fairly easy one. :)

I think i would find it difficult to choose a 'favoraite' track from BF - it will be interesting to see which are the final two 'survivors', although it seems Cups and Kittens will be at the top somehwere...

i think that i've only listened to 'push downstairs' about 3 times in the almost 7 years that it's been around. it really just doesn't do it for me.

Whaaah? Well, to be fair, the hip-hop-esque drumloop was a bit that had been shelved by the boys for awhile prior to being rediscovered by Daz.
But junk? No way, man...it's got guitar, vintage Karl vocals, some script-reading/storytelling by Juanita, a claustrophobic feel, just a great dance track! :)

p.s. first time i heard it, i thought it was "life gives up the box" instead of "life kid suck the box". That worried me...i thought Karl was very depressed or something:o
