anyway, if any of you want some FREE!!! electronica music or just want a trip down memory lane, I found this seminal (http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:TuiDwsEFfb0J:www.dirty.org/forums/printthread.php%3Ft%3D10985) posting for your entertainment. BTW, the link in there still works... He's called phenix now (cos he's BACK in 2006! so he says)

on the negative side, we can no longer have threads with FREE ELECTRONICA MUSIC!!!! in all capital letters. What is this? The Nanny State? Too many capital letters will be like a Max Headroom blipvert and make my head explode?

Ah, yes, those were good times! 148,492,435 people on Earth and beyond told him his music was tops, so don't bother disagreeing! But then, i didn't listen to it back in 2004. Just for curiosity's sake, i should check out the new tunes...thanks for the link and the memories!

EDIT: no music found on that site, but there are lots of lovely desktop wallpapers if you wanna see PHENIX all day long.

This was indeed a funny episode.

What people may not remember (and what is not clear from the cached thread) is that when this guy first posted he asked for feedback. And when the feedback came, he edited that bit out of his post, which made critics look unnecessarily insensitive, when in fact all they were doing was what they had been asked to do! Give feedback! :D

I don't think he was a happy bunny - or maybe he is just not used to the quality of musicians we have posting on these forums. ;)

I'm actually getting pissed off all over again that people were actually jumping on EZZ for his post. Fuck that shit.

I know he edited out the request for feedback, but even still

a)Calling his comments knee-jerk was unfounded

b)It was pointed out that he edited out his request for feedback, and yet people were still ragging on EZZ. They weren't even reading the subsequent posts.

However, I don't remember how this all turned out. Everyone may have redeemed themselves. I'm not trying to start an argument over this again.

*sigh* I'll just have to settle for a Phenex desktop in glorious 1600x1050. The release of the wallpaper was big enough to warrant its own news item, btw. Its all go in the world of Phenex.

I hope he comes back one day with some new music and an open mind though.
