Sorry no links to the Tokyo show here, and discussion of where to get the radio show belongs on RTSR. Thank you.

if the "radio show" is the broadcast from Lemon World yesterday, then i respectfully disagree with you...it was a broadcast for the fans, from underworldlive.com, affiliated pretty closely with dirty.org (case in point, links from one site to the other, dirtyradio, dirty chatroom, questions from people here). So no, i don't think discussion should be restricted to RTSR.

--just so we're clear, i'm not talking about the Tokyo rebroadcast. That's been discussed to completion in another thread!

just to make the waiting time shorter and sweeter - thought i'd share the recording i made with "audio hijack". i missed the first hour and there are really annoying skippings and dropouts every few bars due to my connection..
so, feel free to grab and share it with the dirts. it's 80mb, not sliced, it's not great quality, but if you're despered enough to overlook these facts.. i hope there is a flawless recording of this session out there anytime soon!

Re-upping what i said yesterday, because i think it's a shame no one's sharing the whole thing here. Yes, RTSR is a good distribution method for most shows, but even there, it's only on the tracker (i.e. no FTP or rapidshare-type links). Seems kinda exclusive for a show obviously intended for the fans. We've posted music links here before from dirtyradio shows. i had to find my 2 hr 26 min version on the Hybrid forum of all places

p.s. thanks for the segment above!

I think the point of the rtsr tracker is a means of making sure that people's bandwidth isn't leeched to distraction by hosting it themselves. The FTP site is often leeched to distraction making it impossible for people to get anything off it at all, which is ultimately why the tracker was set up.
It might take an hour or two to download from the tracker, compared with the instant gratification a straight link would provide, but the whole point is, the more people using the tracker and keeping it open to seed to others, the quicker everyone gets the goods.
If you want it, holden, PM me and i will up it to you. Then you can decide if YOU want to share it through here and have your bandwidth buggered for the next week.
Just my two penn'orth.

the amount of effort that individual dirts have to put in to get hold of this isnt really that much.
It might take an hour or two to download from the tracker, compared with the instant gratification a straight link would provide the seed/leech ratio atm is pretty good, i was getting 100+kb/s, which is faster than i would get off ftp/sharethefiles/something similar

i agree with the distribution, but the tracker has so far been the only method. As i've often asked on the RTSR list, there are those of us that can't use bit torrent or p2p because of the systems we are on (e.g. work, school, firewalls), but horde is not being utilized for the latest releases at all. And i agree, privately hosting a file kills your bandwidth. That's why things like rapidshare, yousendit, etc etc exist.
Thank you for your offer, beautifulburnout. As i said above, i found it on the Hybrid forums, and could re-upload it to a fileshare service for this community.

If we are talking about RTSR, can we please use the RTSR boards. That is what they are for. If you have a request to make for using yousendit/rapidshare then please use RTSR. Thank you.

Maybe someone could knock up a sticky thread to inform newcomers who might not have picked up on the strange parallel worlds of RTSR and Dirty. I can imagine it being confusing.
There are a lot of new folk stumbling about in here. :)

yes, i'm beginning to think that there might need to be a general info page.

Might be handy. I think this happens because these things are going out via UWlive, and UWlive links to these forums and doesn't mention RTSR. I think the confusion is understandable when you look at it this way.

Ok, i guess for radioshows we can have some links here, as the server was maxed out and not all people could listen. So I'll start the ball rolling with a yousendit.com (http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1V4S43HD6VE4731O9F9X3DM2E6) link. If this expires then someone else can re-upload it to there on request I guess.
Enjoy the show!
