i realized last year that river of bass is actually a really fantastic track.

i need to learn to play politics a bit better.
obviously this was going to be tongue vs river of bass.
instead of saving ROB like a reasonable man i went with what i actually thought and voted ME.
sigh.

Once again, faced with the decision of which track i like least...i have to say it's "River of Bass". Still a wicked track, but not my fave. Kinda too slow for my tastes...and though "Tongue" is also pretty beatless, it's atmospheric as heck!

i've always felt M.E. was a great come-down track...nice lush organ and vocal tratment. The lyrics are a throwback, yes, and it's perhaps one of the more verse-chorus-verse type tracks UW mkII has done, but it's not a jarring difference in style. In fact, if i didn't know it was almost identical to the 1990-91 version, it would still feel contemporary with the Dubno Sound.

It breaks my heart to vote for "M.E.", but I'll do anything to keep my beloved "River of Bass" from getting bumped off so early on. I'm going to be really flummoxed later on as this thing continues, though, as I love this album more than life itself.
