Oh my god. Oh my god. That is sooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome. My mom is going to be thrilled - she loved Spirited Away, and read Wizard of Earthsea to me when I was a wee lad.

Ursula K Leguin wrote a translation of the Tao Te Ching that I really like, too, and when I was looking back at Wizard of Earthsea it seemed like she might have planted little concepts in there that then sprouted in me. Cool cool cool!

I also have always thought that Harry Potter was just ripping off the wizard's school from this book, too.
