i've got an idea or two that i should finally sit down and crack out. do we know what that impact-but-not font officially is? the closest i'm getting to is Eurostile Bold Condensed but since i don't have it i can't test it. there's also CG Triumvirate Inserat but again, can't test it and it seems less likely. (EDIT: Tried them out eventually and it's neither, but Inserat was actually kind of close)

I have three official UW shirts, and though I appreciate their/tomato design in general over their career, I don't really like the shirts.

In younger years, I'd make my own designs and print them on those iron on vinyl sheets. The best was a simple Underworld; text from AHDO era, and it has survived well with minimal peeling and no fading because I just cut out the white vinyl letters individually without printing.

Yeah, the Drift design is boring. I'd rather see some art from one of the singles covers or videos.

I’m planning to do it through society6. Their templates offer a great degree of versatility.
I’d like to nail the type(s) that they’re using though or it just going to look (more) bootleg.

Ok, whoops, I apologise. I was remembering a previous link with one design. This link shows several shirt designs with art from the singles. As I'd hoped for above. A few are...ok. But nothing I'd feel compelled to buy.

I got the design/typography bug again after years of ??? so, two years later I'm warming up/practicing on this thing. Of course I open with the busiest idea of them all.

And another. Kept things simple for now. The shirts are pretty no frills so I've been erring towards that, more universal but also something I'd want to wear to a gig (or wherever). I'm gonna start pulling from the various ep covers soon and see what can be built from that.

Something a little easier to visualize. The size shown is for 2XL, but the green lines are for XS size so I planned accordingly. The image is from the uwlive site (the full res version. sorry UW team!) which is shrunk down because even the original has about 20% more pixelation than I'm comfortable with. The "DRIFT" on the sleeve is upside down because the wider part is the top of the shoulder, narrowing down to the arm hole, so the whole sleeve is upside down. That strip in the middle is for the collar. I thought of making it the same red but that might be a bit showy, undecided. I think I'm done for now, feedback welcome. I know it's weird to revive a dead thread like this but this is the thread that kicked me into gear about it. Thanks stimpee!
