Drift Ep. 4 Pt. 1
Listen To Their No

Two people helping each other forever…

A new DRIFT begins with just over five and a half minutes of superlative sunset techno; a lucid dream built around an insistent analogue riff and a rush of pure positivity.

“Loved the music the minute Rick played it to me, and couldn’t wait to get it home to start singing on it. To my first pass at a vocal Rick said, “Try another one”, weirdly identical to his response to the vocal we didn’t use for Two Months Off” – Karl

they just posted a trailer for tour pre-sales in 2019, also including an amazing sounding new ID! (sounds like the best is still to come from DRIFT)

this is the same track from the pre-sale/DRIFT SONGS trailer and on the latter part of the quote, it looks like i was right. this put me into tears on first listen. it's a modern, reinvigorated Two Months Off. truly one of the best tracks to come out of DRIFT thus far

It's a bit of a shame the 3rd episode wasn't called MOTHER and the 4th HEART :D But yea, this song is pretty good. I hope they'll bring it out on tour.

Been a while since we had a bit of straight forward, uplifting Underworld pop, and this more than makes up for it. Absolutely bloody gorgeous.

Looks like this one is being released as a digital single, so maybe no free download.

I have so many goosebumps! Goodnesses

Also the video is my fav of all the films made for Drift. The 2nd would be Dexter’s chalk. So good

Instant classic for me, this one. Joyous. Ep 4 off to an amazing start.

So far in the Drift series, this and Custard Speedtalk have brought tears to my eyes.

I can't decide whether or not this or the Pearls Girl jam are the best Drift releases...

Really good,
But I’m gonna be that guy again and ask if this is an edit? Felt like the track just went “hi, bye!”

it does go for one last burst at the end, but yeah I wondered the same thing. mostly because it's such a great track.

idk when we start the whole "which tracks do you think will end up on the album" thing but....this has got to make the cut, right?

This and Dexter’s Chalk (because of the dog!) are the only “definites” I’d put money on at this point. Maaaybe Dune, but I’m kinda hoping not tbh.

Ditto! 100%

And yeah, feels like an edit. I really hope for a 12 mins version, I would gladly loose myself in there for a bit.

What a time to be an Underworld fan :)

So true! Drift has been a blessing and a joy.

I must have listening to this track 20 times today. It's fairly simple, but extremely moving and obviously not boring.

One of my faves of the series, along with Drum Street, Dexter's Chalk, Universe of..., Soniamide and Custard

I think it's obvious that it should be on the album. Some sites say about the album announcement that this is from the album along with Soniamode.

This has definitely got to be in my top 3 or 4 of Drift so far.

For some reason I keep hearing "Baba O'Riley" trying to creep up out of it. In some other universe, there's a remix/cover/whatever of these two intertwined together (ala the Pet Shop Boys' "Where the Streets Have No Name / I Can't Take My Eyes Off of You"). ;-)

Oh and I forgot that it's in the album trailer. So this track have to be on the album! :)

nearing 100k views on YouTube, clearly becoming a big standout among the Drift stuff

give me a few more months but I honestly think this is gonna become one of my favorite ever UW tracks

So, I discovered that Simon originally used the animation in this video for the Smile for London, Word in Motion (http://www.smileforlondon.com/exhibitions/) exhibitions in 2011 and 2012:

Of course, it was enhanced and extended for this music video.

my kids (4 & 2) love this video. had to put it on because I didn't have the MP3 and the oldest one got real excited by the bubbles and jumping around...now in the car they request the "jumping song" and try to sing along to the words (they can decipher Karl's lyrics about as well as I can)...immensely proud that my kids' list of all-time favorite songs slots in Underworld next to "Baby Shark" and "1,2,3,4,5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive"
