I came across an interesting little article about the early marketing for dubnobass in the U.S. by TVT:

neat!

I wonder what the '30-second spots' for Mtv & David Letterman were like... and if they actually were made. I mean, I'd wager that they were just clips taken from the 'Dirty Epic' video, with text that was like "New Album Out Now" (or whatever).

Also, is it just me - or does it sound weird to be boasting that they sent out 100,000 stickers?

it's just sort of funny, b/c back then... that probably was a lot - and thought of as useful for promotion

Yeah, it's interesting to see how gung-ho TVT/Wax Trax were about it, and then I'm sure it just did not make a dent against America's infatuation with alternative and grunge.

Also, the "unconventional" touring never happened, as UW never even made it to the U.S. until mid-96 for STITI touring.
