This gig is there abouts ten years old now. Only mention it as tracks like Lenny Penny / Small Conker And Twix / You Do Scribble have all transitioned into something else. Doesn't seem like ten years has passed from when I was in bed listening to its broadcast on Radio 1.

Let's hope future shows show off new works they will be around for another ten years.

Yes, time flies! 10 years in an instant, it seems. 2005-ish was a fruitful era for the band, as we got the first two river runs and several live tracks by UW and Price that became staples. Exit fest and HMH gig were fun because of the speculation around those new tracks and improvs.

Well, even Barking in 2010 had its share of previews and intrigue ("Good Day Today ", anyone?!) I'm sure we'll get some teasers soon.

I was thinking about this this morning, there's still a few pieces they never released officially (outside of the Tokyo 2005 and 2007-8 Live Series).

I had a quick look at : http://www.setlist.fm/stats/underworld-23d6b0b7.html?tour=Oblivion+With+Bells+Tour

UW Originals :
Five Foot Five
Bamboo

Can You Feel This Bass?
Sidestep
Everybody Jack
Lockin' Mono
Ds Albt
Nicodemus
Aquafunk
Summer Days
Yard Beat
Dinner At Rods
Shake That Higher

I know a number of these are Pricey interludes, is there any clarity on which are and aren't lost UW tracks and the best recordings to source them from?

Hi Mark,

AFAIK all those tracks are "Pricey" tracks, except "Dinner at Rods" which sounds more like UW.

It might help to use the Song list at the Gigography to find out the known live performances of these tracks, to determine the best possible source:

(Click on "Band Name" to change the sort the order).

What Mike said.

5 Foot 5 is also a Price track. Bamboo and Dinner at Rods are the only UW tracks.

What I find more frightening is that it is 20 YEARS since Born Slippy was released.

On Darren Price's myspace page, Shake That Higher (Original Studio Mix) (6:53) is available to listen to:

Can You Feel This Bass? is there too, and sounds like a studio version.

Also there, Borialis, Yardbeat, and Circus Faker,

Jason

And they played a studio version of Bamboo on one of the broadcasts, no?

Meaning, for UW, Five Foot Five is the only 'unreleased' track...

Five foot five is still a Price track...

Here's a studio version of "Bamboo" from the May 13 2006 broadcast : I sliced it out from the original 3 hour file.

I'm still looking for some of the other webcasts (I lost track of UW in 2005-2006 due to health and a birth..). Anyone advise me which ones there were?

lenne penne lyrics and parts of this ended up in other OwB/riverrun stuff, right? perhaps it's doomed to be an eternal b-side/rarity ala you do scribble?
